Up for auction is this stunning 1990 Porsche 944 S2.  When first introduced, the 944 S2 was Porsche's way of providing a high performance car without the expense of the Turbo version.  This example started its life in Texas before making its way to California this past year.  It is being offered in excellent condition with 60k miles on the odometer.

The all-original Guards Red paint is stated to be in excellent condition and shine beautifully.  This 944 is wearing its original 16” alloy wheels that are in great condition only a few minor scuffs.  From factory, the 944 S2 came standard with features from the Turbo model including an upgraded front bumper and valence, rocker panel extensions, and a rear diffuser panel.  It is safe to say that this S2 provides an overall aggressive look.

The sporty yet luxurious linen partial leather interior shows almost no visible wear as seen in the photo gallery.  The dashboard is fully intact and reminiscent of a new vehicle.  A few noteworthy features include a leather wrapped shift knob, upgraded Kenwood stereo system with original Blaupunkt EQ controls, black floor mats, and a factory sunroof.  All components are stated to be in working order.

This 944 retains its original 3.0L inline-four cylinder engine that is mated to a desirable 5-speed manual transmission.  Producing a healthy 208HP and 207 lb-ft of torque, the car offers plenty of power for an exciting driving experience.  Additionally, performance is enhanced by upgraded MO30 sway bars.  A service performed just this year included a replaced upper cam cover set, oil and filter changes, timing shaft, balance shaft, and serpentine belts.  The car is reportedly up to date on all maintenance and performs as it should.

The sale will include service records, the original window sticker, a clean Carfax, all books, 2 keys, air pump, tools, sunroof bag, car cover, front nose bra, and mirror covers.

Being one of less than 500 US models produced in 1990, this is an opportunity to own beautiful rendition of the legendary Porsche 944 Coupe.

@BlackSlacks Car is mint, near perfect & very original. Paint is incredible. Handles amazing and really fun to drive, like a slot car. Only things that need attention: the cruise won't work (easy module fix) and the trip meter won't reset, but both it and the odometer work. Didn't want to mess with it in fear of having the odo and tripmeter stop working. All else works as it should. Since I got it, I rehabbed the sticking hatch pins, fixed a faulty HVAC control panel, and replaced a weeping oil level sensor gasket . I also repaired a AC leak and converted to R134 and now it works great here in SoCal in 100 degrees.

@Bp299 Oh man......so sorry.... Having spent some time with the car.......what would you do if you were to keep it?.....Does everything work as it should? thanks..

@BlackSlacks Yes, same car. Unforeseen family medical issues shortly after the purchase. Not flipping it, just would like it to go to someone who can enjoy it.

Owned rare 951 for 20 years and considering getting back into one after server years of 997 ownership. This looks like a fantastic car.
