Up for auction is this 1990 Porsche 964 Carrera 4 Cabriolet finished in Grand Prix White. Taking the celebrated platform of Porsche’s 964 to the next level, this 1990 example has been comprehensively upgraded and modified by Vali Motorsports (VMS) with a custom-built 3.8L flat-six engine, wide steel fenders, a custom interior, forged wheels, Ohlin’s suspension, a Ceika big brake kit, and much more. A true no-expense-spared build, this 964 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
This 964 comes finished in Grand Prix White with a black cabriolet top. During the custom build, this Carrera 4 was fitted with wide steel fender flares, custom bumpers, rocker panels, and a fiberglass ducktail spoiler with powder-coated aluminum inserts. The car was completely refinished, and the underbody received a protective coating. Additionally, all exterior lights were replaced including LED projector headlights. This 964 rides on a set of custom 18” Jongbloed forged wheels measuring 10” wide in the front and 12” wide in the rear. These wheels come dressed in a set of new Michelin tires.
Inside, the cabin has been completely reupholstered in black leather with contrasting door panels and seat inserts in Burnt Orange quilted suede. Other features include custom hand-formed interior panels made from aluminum and carbon fiber, custom floorboards and pedals, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, and a custom green tachometer dial. The seller notes that all instruments and accessories remain fully functional including the factory Porsche radio.
Power comes from a custom-built 3.8L flat-six engine featuring upgraded cylinders, pistons, and a full stainless-steel center-exit exhaust. An estimated output of up to 380 HP is sent to the rear wheel by way of a G50 5-speed manual transmission with a Sleepers Speed Shop Sleepwalker Short Shift Kit and a new clutch and pressure plate. The suspension has also been upgraded with Ohlins Racing coilovers, solid bushings, adjustable trailing arms, camber plates, drop links, and powder coated control arms, links, and sway bars. All steering components were replaced and a Ceika big brake kit was installed along with custom stainless-steel braided lines. All work was carried out by VMS and the seller reports the car to have been fully serviced in preparation for a new owner.
This sale will include a clean title. A staggering amount of time and effort has been invested to create a 964 Cabriolet unlike any other. Do not miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this custom 3.8L Carrera 4 widebody.

I rarely like mods, but this is an exception to the rule. Wow.
Hi! Great looking “outlaw” Is it road legal, registered in a state? Does it pass CA emissions? I don’t see a rear license plate nor spot to mount one.. am I missing it? Do you have a video with the start up and a test drive?
