Up for auction is this 1990 Porsche 964 Carrera 4 Cabriolet finished in Guards Red over beige and black interior. Said to have spent much of its life on the West Coast before making its way to Hawaii in 2004, this 964 was eventually purchased by its current owner about 3 years ago who has kept the car in great running order. Offering a 5-speed manual transmission and a top-down air-cooled driving experience, this 964 Cabriolet is now being listed by its seller in Kamuela, HI while showing approximately 187k miles on the odometer.
The Guards Red finish is said to be in good driver-grade condition. Some road-going wear is noted including stone chips on the front hood and mirror covers (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). The black soft top is also said to be in good shape and the seller reportedly replaced the convertible mechanism cables under their ownership. This Carrera 4 retains its factory D90 wheels that come dressed in healthy tires.
Inside, the beige and black interior is said to be in very good condition except for some minor cracks in the seat upholstery. An aftermarket Alpine radio has been installed and the seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional except the air conditioning, which is said to be in need of a new control unit.
The air-cooled 3.6 L flat-six engine sends 247 HP stock to all four wheels by way of a G50 5-speed manual transmission. The seller notes that a collection of service records will be included and describes the car to be in excellent running order with routine oil changes carried out under their ownership.
This sale will include a clean title and the original spare tire. This 964 makes the perfect driver-grade Cabriolet for any air-cooled enthusiast, do not miss out.
