We are pleased to present this beautifully executed 1990 Porsche 911 Backdate Sport Edition by Abreu Motors. Chosen for its aerodynamics, 3.6L engine, and modern refinement, this custom backdate restoration began with a 1990 Porsche 964 Carrera 4. It has been expertly fitted with a full-metal wide-body conversion, PSS10 Bilstein coil-over suspension, and a fully rebuilt and upgraded flat-six engine rated at over 300 HP. The car was finished in Oak Green Metallic over a bespoke Italian basket-weave full leather interior with painted hardback sport seats. This 911 showcases a multitude of upgrades and unique details including carbon fiber spoilers, gold lettering and decals, custom painted Fuchs-style wheels, and a custom 935-style center-exit exhaust. Although this 911 is a far cry from its original appearance, it remains a 964 at its heart and can be easily serviced by any Porsche specialized technician. Originally built as a display vehicle to represent the Abreu Motors company, this one-of-a-kind 911 Backdate has traveled just over 400 miles since completion and is now being offered for auction by Abreu Motors out of Florida.
The original 964 chassis was disassembled and fitted with a custom-fabricated full-metal wide-body conversion in the style of a classic long-hood 911ST. All new exterior components were installed including windows, rocker panels, bumpers, and modern-style headlights. Carbon fiber was utilized for the Aero mirrors and front and rear spoilers. Chrome exterior trim was also applied along with gold Porsche lettering, side decals, and a “911 Backdate” model designation. In the rear, you will find a custom ceramic-coated 935-style dual center-exit exhaust. This 911 rides on a set of custom-painted 17” Braid Fuchs-style wheels that come dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
The cabin has been completely redone and appointed with tan Italian basket-weave leather upholstery and classic square-weave carpeting. The custom Vallelunga hardback sport seats are upholstered in matching leather with Oak Green Metallic painted backings. The leather-wrapped dashboard features white deviated stitching and instrument dials with polished bezels and a custom central tachometer. Other noteworthy details include stainless steel “Sport Edition” door sill guards, RS-style door panels, Rennline stainless pedals and floorboards, a classic tan headliner, chrome accents, a vintage-style Bluetooth radio, and a short-throw shifter featuring a genuine Granadillo wood knob. The original sunroof has been retained and all new hardware has been installed along with new seatbelts and door strikers. Under the front hood, a custom Abreu Motors specifications sticker has been placed alongside the original factory production label.
The original numbers matching 3.6L flat-six engine has been completely rebuilt and fitted with upgraded Mahle pistons and cylinders. The heads have been reworked, the cams have been reground, and a custom FVD performance tune has been applied along with a Racing Dynamics cat bypass pipe, carbon fiber heater duct, and a K&N cold air intake. A claimed output of just over 300 HP is delivered to all four wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transmission. Stopping power is provided by rebuilt Brembo brakes paired with drilled rotors, and the suspension has been upgraded with Bilstein PSS10 coil-overs, new sway bars, and adjustable camber plates. A new rack and pinion have also been installed along with new parking brakes and electrical wiring. This 911 remains in its initial break-in phase with barely 400 miles traveled since completion. Images provided in the photo gallery detail the incredible amount of work carried out during the build process.
This sale will include a clean title for a U.S. market 1990 Carrera 4. Exhibiting impeccable build quality and an unprecedented level of attention to detail, this stunning 911 Backdate is just waiting to be driven and enjoyed by its first private owner.

Hello. The seller is not near a computer right now but wanted us to announce that the reserve is off and this car WILL SELL to the highest bidder. Do not miss your chance at this amazing 911!

@Prasad1 Approximately 3,500 Hours, I stopped counting at
75 Work Weeks. Everything is done in house, the machine work is done in Connecticut with our engineer.
Was the Engine build done in house? How many weeks did it take to do the build?
Bid in the amount of $230,000
@doobooloo The 964 Carrera C4 has an extremely capable all-wheel drive and traction control system. Many owners of these models have praised the 964 C4 for it's winter driving capabilities, with some praising the car's traction in inclement weather even on summer tires. We of course would recommend a set of winter wheels/tires for peak performance in the snow and slush. The car is equipped with a splash undercarriage engine shield to help protect against unwanted snow/slush/road spray from reaching the engine compartment etc. This car could most definitely stand up to some daily all-weather driving!
Beautiful build @AbreuMotors - a (possibly blasphemous to some) question for you from a NE’er. What is your take on the car’s suitability in rain and snow and of course everything that comes with snow? Could you provide some more specifics regarding areas that were reinforced to provide protection against the elements? Thanks much in advance!
Bid in the amount of $220,000
@Prasad1 The average weight of this backdate is approximately 2,850 pounds, which is only a slight reduction from a factory 964 C4 at 3,042 pounds... give and take..
The car has not been corner balanced, however it handles evenly in left and right turns.
I’ve built different cars with unusual specs...I like the carbon bits on this one.
Bid in the amount of $215,000
Gorgeous Build. Couple of questions:
1. How much does it weigh?
2. Is it corner balanced?
Finally, Why did you guys go with CF mirrors/spoiler on a backdate? It seems a bit out of place on a Backdate
I've spent ample time examining and admiring this car in the past few weeks as Abreu has serviced 2 of my 964s in the last month. The level of detail is second to none and the new owner of this Backdate example will be taking a trophy home. This car maintains its Porsche DNA unaltered. Bespoke craftsmanship well worth the price of admission. Good luck to all!
Bid in the amount of $210,000
Thanks looking forward to it!

The multiple “WOW’s” sums it up nicely. Plus I’ll add what an outstanding build!
@Sebring The car is a true C4. It will pass California smog.
@TXGerman Thank you guys. It took over 9 months to finish the project.
@Pdqgt3 The exhaust system was design to be a plug and play, meaning the factory catalytic converter, Intermediate muffler and final muffler can always be reinstalled if necessary, for smog.
Good morning guys. Sorry, already busy in the shop.
Good morning guys. Yes, the car is a true C4. It is also set up to pass California smog as well. The exhaust system was design to be a plug and play, meaning the factory catalytic converter, Intermediate muffler and final muffler can always be reinstalled if necessary, for smog.

Incredible! Singer world...
Bid in the amount of $90,964
a couple of questions: 1) was the car left as a 4 wheel drive or converted back to 2 wheel? 2) same as below, with the cams, will it pass california smog or, do you not know? Thanks
Wow, just....wow.
The meaning of life is Porsche. Drooling over here..

Anyidea if you could get this past the California smog Nazis??
