Presented in Forest Green Metallic, this 1990 Porsche 964 is one of only 158 Targa versions produced for the U.S. during the model year and even fewer to have been configured as a Carrera 2 with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It was purchased new from Ed Byrnes Porsche in Massachusetts and remained under the care of its original owner up until recently. A rare example of the Porsche 964 accompanied by extensive records and documentation, this Targa is now being offered for auction once again on PCARMARKET out of New York showing approximately 88k miles on the odometer.
This 964 comes factory-finished in the rarely seen color of Forest Green Metallic (22E) with a black wraparound Targa band and removable roof panel. It rides on a set of factory 16” Design 90 cast alloy wheels, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black partial leather interior remains highly original in appearance with its factory Blaupunkt Reno radio. Accessories include central locking doors, automatic climate control, power-adjustable seats, a rear window defogger, an analog clock, a locking glove box, and an 8-speaker sound system.
An air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers as much as 247 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transmission. Standard performance features include force-sensitive power steering, power-vented disc brakes with ABS, toe-correcting rear suspension, an extendable rear spoiler, and stabilizer bars front and rear. A lifetime of maintenance documentation accompanies the sale including an invoice for a major engine-out service and re-seal by European Performance Engineering (EPE) in 2011. A more recent invoice from EPE shows the clutch master and slave cylinders replaced in 2018 at just over 88k miles along with a brake fluid flush, A/C system check, and general service.
This sale will include the original owner’s manuals and sales documents, extensive service records, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air compressor, and a clean title.

@Worthink they are the same photos with exception of the videos and extra photos we added today. Will state again that the car has been indoors and only driven less than 300 miles since then. There is snow and salt everywhere and would imagine that the next owner would not want the car taken out in those type of conditions to take photos that would be unnecessary as literally nothing has changed.

@Worthink not driven much, the car stays in the indoor collection and has been taken out on a few short rides. Mileage as of this min is 89110

@Silversun262 as stated, the car does not show any evidence of it, however, if the meter reading is concerning to you treat it as if there was the possibility as we always like to assume the worst case and hope for the best! Trying to be as transparent here as possible. In cases like this it is open to the interpretation. All of the paint on the car looks consistent with no defects or inconsistencies in texture or color

Agreed it’s not overly concerning but As a 1 owner car I would think the owner could verify if any body work has been done. Can we confirm?
@Silversun262 certainly plausible that it left the factory that way, these cars were not painted with robots to our understanding so there have been cases of some inconsistencies. Regardless, considering the age and mileage of the car, and factoring in the outstanding condition, had it been painted at a point in its life we feel it has no significance to the car or its value. It's a fine example and we strongly encourage anyone who is able to come and view it in person for themselves. Bid with confidence.

Appears this one suffered the "no head gasket failure" for the '89-mid '91 cars. This one was long out of warranty but appears that the work was done per factory to alleviate it as well as new head studs. Photo 122. Good peace of mind imho. The owner cared. GLWA, it's a beautiful car.

@JP61 hello. I’ve been out of town so apologies for the delay, I’m not with the car at the moment, but I do believe it has it. This car comes with an entire box of records and repair manuals. We acquired it via a trade from the original owner, it is very well documented and is one of the finest available anywhere at this moment
