Introduced in 1989 as the most substantial evolution of the Porsche 911 yet, the 964 model showcased revised aerodynamic styling, power steering, anti-lock brakes, and a new 3.6-liter engine. This 1990 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet is finished in Black over a Linen interior and features an optional 4-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, a new convertible top, updated aero mirrors, aftermarket 18” wheels, power-adjustable seats, burl wood instrument panel trim, a four-spoke leather steering wheel, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. Benefitting from a major recent service completed at a cost of nearly $17k, this 964 was registered in Louisiana until 2025 and is now being offered for auction out of Texas with approximately 65k miles showing on the odometer.
The exterior is finished in Black with a newly replaced power-operated convertible soft top. Equipment includes optional headlamp washers, integrated fog lights, later-model aero mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and aftermarket 18” wheels finished in black with polished outer lips. The Hankook tires show production date codes from 2016, and the original wheels are available to the next owner. The seller believes the passenger rear quarter panel was previously refinished, and an invoice shows rust repair and paintwork below the front windshield cowl completed in 2025. Some paint chips and imperfections are also noted on the hood. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Linen grey partial leather seats with matching carpets and door panels. Accessories include electric height-adjustable front seats, a black leather four-spoke steering wheel, burl wood instrument panel trim, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, a central locking system, and an aftermarket Alpine head unit. The driver’s door microswitch and lock actuator, convertible top microswitch, and headlight switch were replaced in 2025, along with a major overhaul of the air conditioning system.
The air-cooled 3.6-liter M64 flat-six engine was factory-rated at 247 HP and 228 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission with a manual shifting mode. Standard equipment includes power-assisted steering and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. A service completed in July 2025 included a new ignition control module, lower valve cover gaskets, a timing cover gasket, resealed rocker shafts, a resealed power steering pump, a new fuel filter and fuel line, engine belts, a horn assembly, and a new battery.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for looking at this Porsche! I bought it from the owner, who has not driven for a while due to health and his age! I had it shipped to a Porsche expert in Houston, where he did all that it needed mechanically, including a new top!”

@Autoenterprises. Hi, beautiful 911.
Do you know why the Carfax says it’s a C4, not a C2?
Would you happen to have a monroney, CoA or options list?
I assume the overhauled AC blows cold?
Are the windows tinted?
Regarding “the original wheels are available to the next owner. The seller believes the passenger rear quarter panel was previously refinished”
Are the original wheels included in the sale? Do you have photos of those?
Can you post paint meter readings?
Any compression/leak down tests?
Thanks
