Previously finished in Silver Metallic over a Burgundy interior, this 1990 Porsche 964 Carrera 4 features a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle. Stored in a barn as part of the owner's collection, this Porsche 964 Carrera 4 is reported to have displayed under 50k miles on the odometer before sustaining fire damage. Offering an opportunity for restoration, this 964 project car is now available for auction by the selling dealer out of Connecticut.
Porsche’s 964 model introduced notable design features, including aerodynamic polyurethane bumpers and an extendable rear spoiler. Previously finished in Silver Metallic (980), this example features a sunroof panel and 17”x7" and 17"x9" Cup 1 wheels with Porsche center crests. The exterior exhibits fire damage, including charred paint, scorched panels, and visible corrosion. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin was specified with Burgundy leather and power-adjustable seats. A four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation, and the upholstery, carpets, and trim pieces show extensive deterioration, while the plastic components have melted and deformed. The dashboard, center console, and door panels exhibit damage, and wiring and electrical components have been compromised.
Beneath the decklid sits an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine, factory-rated at 247 HP and 228 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are connected to a G50 5-speed manual transmission. The fire damage has compromised mechanical components including the engine, drivetrain, and electrical systems. The seller is unable to confirm the car's mechanical salvageability.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: "Brief Back Story: A client's barn caught fire, and the fire spread so fast that it was unable to be extinguished. Thus, his entire Porsche collection was burned."

Just wanted to say thank you for all of the interest thus far! We are now in the final day of the auction, and just wanted to clarify that we are happy to assist in prepping each of these cars for transport and loading them onto their respective trailers. Happy bidding!
@dunavantent No worries- the battery has already been disconnected!
@Chuyin we recommend reaching out to transport companies like Montway, Intercity Lines, Reliable Carriers, etc. for transport quotes.
Dear: Do you provide transportation services to Texas? Or you know someone who can move the car to my city? Is legal to place it on a car hauler and drive it by a Non professional towing services provider?
Regards
Can you disconnect the battery so she doesn't catch fire again. Better yet, remove the battery.
@seller Thank you for the update.
@MC-Leather insurance was involved. Updated paperwork has not been provided but we would err on the side of caution and assume this is a salvage car. Thank you

what-no driving video?
@AutoRestoreInc. Sorry to be nosy, but did the owner receive a pay out from their auto insurance policy, if so I would assume it would be a salvage title at some point. Thanks for your help.
@MC-Leather there is a previously issued Clean NY state title for this example from 2014. This will be given to the buyer along with the most recent paperwork, which is a Connecticut Registration.
Connecticut does not issue titles for classics, so it's a bit hard to say for certain what will happen for the next owner *if* they wish to register it, depending on the state they reside in. Truthfully, we recommend reaching out to a local tag agency in your state for your state's specific rulings, inspection guidelines, etc.
Hope that helps!
Ready to be "reimagined" by singer! 🤔
@Seller, Just to confirm this has a clean title?
I cannot even fathom how to properly value this poor car. What a sad fate, as it was extremely beautiful before. Just tragic in so many ways.

@BrianSouthwell A client's barn caught fire and the fire spread so fast that it was unable to be extinguished. Thus, his entire Porsche collection was burned. You can learn more about this example prior to the fire from the link below that @VertexAuto shared!

Welcome to our "spooky" listings of several fire-damaged Porsche 911s this week! Happy to answer questions throughout the auction process... although the pictures should truly speak for themselves in this unfortunate scenario.
Happy Halloween!
