This 1990 Mercedes-Benz 300GE has been completely restored both cosmetically and mechanically, drawing inspiration from contemporary Brabus custom builds. The transformation includes a Brabus-style body kit crafted by AKA Eurosport and installed by Sina, along with comprehensive interior, engine, chassis, and suspension enhancements. Powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine and 7-speed automatic transmission from a G500 model, this distinctive G-Class comes finished in Mercedes-style matte silver paint with a Brabus-style bright blue leather and suede interior. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
This short-wheelbase example has undergone a comprehensive frame-off restoration, featuring an AKA Eurosport Brabus-style body kit finished in Mercedes-style matte silver paint. The modifications include LED lighting, updated bumpers, black trim, a black-finished hood scoop, extended fender flares, dual front fender vents, and side steps. It also features later-model exterior mirrors with integrated turn signals and carbon fiber mirror caps. The vehicle rides on black-painted 24” aftermarket wheels with Mercedes-branded center caps and Nitto NT420 tires. Detailed images are available in the gallery, along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin has been fully customized with blue leather upholstery covering the seats, upper and lower dashboard panels, steering wheel, armrests, and door inserts. A matching blue suede headliner enhances the interior ambiance, while square-patterned stitching adds a touch of elegance to the seats. Modernized features include a 2018-model center console and multi-function steering wheel, later-model power-adjustable front seats, power windows and door locks, a digital display, automatic headlights, AMG-branded door sills, and a center stack equipped with various controls. The vehicle is also fitted with driver and passenger airbags, along with seatbelt brackets designed for the airbag sensors. The seller notes that the sunroof is inoperable and the transmission warning light is illuminated due to a mismatch between the ECU and the engine computer and gauges, though this issue has not affected performance.
Power comes from a 5.0-liter V8 engine sourced from a 2008 Mercedes-Benz G500, delivering up to 292 HP to all four wheels through a 7-speed automatic transmission. The chassis underwent rust repairs, and the firewall was replaced to accommodate the rebuilt engine and steering rack from the 2008 G500. Additionally, the floor pans were replaced to integrate the wiring looms required for the updated electronics of the newer G-Class.
This sale will include a clean title. The seller adds that this car is not for sale to buyers in California.

In 2016 the owner of this 1990 Mercedes-Benz G320 G-Wagen Conversion to Brabus Style G500 went to the Geneva Auto show where he viewed the Brabus G500 4x4 displayed with Bright Blue interior. He took many detailed photos and returned to Los Angeles inspired to create his own version utilizing the 2 door as a base. Adding photographs of the Brabus Display car for reference:

@777AIA - Brakes an Suspension were upgraded to G500 specification.
Were the brakes upgraded to match with the 500 series engine versus the 320? Stopping power needs to be greatly increased… not seeing it on the invoices.
Appears to be a very nice rebuild. Interior is not my taste… Surprised it was not a upgrade to the newer screen technologies and cargo area is lacking a quality finish.
