Produced as the flagship Mercedes-Benz luxury sedan from 1979 to 1991, the W126 remains the most successful and longest-produced S-Class generation. This 1990 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL was the range-topping model in its class, featuring a long wheelbase chassis and a 5.5-liter V8 engine paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. It comes finished in Astral Silver Metallic over Grey leather upholstery and equipped with self-leveling rear suspension, a limited-slip differential, heated and power-adjustable front and rear seats, rear footrests, automatic climate control, an electric sunroof, and 15” Gullideckel alloy wheels. This W126 had been left parked outside for several years before the seller’s acquisition and has since undergone a complete repaint and extensive mechanical refurbishment totalling over $10k. This classic luxury sedan is now being offered for auction out of California with approximately 123k miles showing on the odometer.
The exterior has been refinished in its factory Astral Silver Metallic (735) paint color with grey lower body cladding. Equipment includes chrome trim, headlamp wipers, an electric sunroof, dual power mirrors, a power telescoping antenna, and 15” Gullideckel alloy wheels mounted with new Sentury tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery, including photos before the recent paintwork.
Appointed with Grey leather upholstery, matching carpets, and burl wood trim pieces, the cabin features heated and power-adjustable front and rear seats. Accessories include a black leather four-spoke steering wheel, power windows and door locks, automatic climate control, cruise control, rear footrests, an analog clock, and a Becker cassette stereo. The seller indicates all gauges and accessories are fully functional.
Equipped with Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection, the 5.5-liter M117 V8 engine was factory-rated at 238 HP and 287 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Mechanical features include power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and a self-leveling hydraulic rear suspension. Recent service includes replacement of the fuel pump, accumulator, fuel filter, fuel tank sender, injectors, spark plugs, a rebuilt fuel distributor, a new oxygen sensor, a new governor, front engine mount, transmission mount, brake hoses, front brake pads, a new battery, and removal and cleaning of the fuel tank. A corresponding invoice is provided in the gallery.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a very nice car with all service work done, spending over $10k on the car just recently.”

@Tennisidiot,
There is no problem as far as you pay for the car I will keep it for you, thank you for your interest .
I’m not sure if you received my previous inquiry. I’m out of state until 10/9. If I’m the winning bidder, would it be possible to leave the car with you until the 9th. I’ll pay for it on the day I win, if I win, but I can’t pick it up until the 9th.
