Derived from the Land Rover Series III, the Defender 90 established itself as a trusted choice among adventurers and enthusiasts, valued for its rugged capability and durability on challenging terrain. This 1990 example is powered by a 2.5-liter turbodiesel inline-four engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 2-speed transfer case. Finished in white over a black vinyl upholstery, it features several modifications, including rock sliders, diamond plating on the hood and fenders, an aftermarket soft top, an Exmoor Trim heavy-duty roll cage, Exmoor Trim rear jump seats, a Tuffy Security Products locking center console, and a JVC CD player. This well-equipped Defender 90 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.

Built on a steel frame, this example features an aluminum body finished in white, complemented by an aftermarket black soft top. Exterior highlights include a gray front grille with matching headlight bezels, European-style Lucas flat-lens headlights, diamond plating on the hood and fenders, and aftermarket turn signal and parking light lenses. Additional features include tinted turn signal repeater lenses, an aftermarket antenna, rock sliders, stripped and clear-coated rear metal trim, and a metal “Land Rover” rear emblem. It rides on white-finished wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, with a matching spare mounted to a MANTEC swing-out carrier on the cargo door. The seller notes some exterior chips, paint bubbles on the bottom of the doors, and wear on interior touch points and trim panels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The interior is appointed with front bucket and Exmoor Trim rear jump seats upholstered in black vinyl upholstery. It has an Imperial speedometer, a Tuffy Security Products locking center console, manual windows and locks, and a rear bulkhead removal. An Exmoor Trim heavy-duty roll cage and a JVC CD player and Pioneer speakers have been fitted. The seller notes wear on interior touch points and trim panels, a missing driver-side interior door lock bezel, and some rust on the seat brackets.

Power comes from a 200 TDi 2.5-liter turbodiesel inline-4, which delivers a factory-rated 107 HP and 188 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission and a 2-speed transfer case. It is equipped with a center differential lock and features coil-spring suspension at both the front and rear. A Safari 4x4 snorkel air intake has been added, and the shocks, brakes, and steering stabilizer were recently replaced.

This sale will include a clean title.

Photos coming soon but hopefully this crowd appreciates we decided to take this thing to a 300 TDI in the last two days! we had a great motor come in that got swapped for a V8 and by popular demand we decided to give it a quick upgrade from the 200 TDI that was in it

we also threw a white hard top on it and it looks pretty awesome so photos will be updated shortly

    Hello Pcar community
we are very proud of this Defender as we do a lot of builds but this one came plug-and-play. Although we do not have service records this truck has all the right buzzwords from old man emu to Exmore to bearmach . we look forward to seeing people's questions as this is a rare opportunity to get a left-hand drive convertible 90 for a very fair price. it also has a heavy duty hoop set. And like all of our trucks we strip the rear metal trims down to bare metal and clearcoat them, it gives a signature look that we're proud of.
