Now up for auction is this custom LS-powered 1990 Land Rover Defender 110 consulted by Safari HP. Over the course of two years and at a reported cost of over $300k, this 1990 example was restored and transformed into the one-of-a-kind 4x4 we see today. After being stripped down to the bare frame and fitted with a brand new painted galvanized chassis, this 110 was upgraded with new heavy-duty axles and a new Corvette LS3 V8 engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Matte Grey over custom red and black diamond-stitched leather, this Defender 110 has traveled just over 1k miles since the restoration and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas.
After being completely disassembled, the body was stripped and refinished in Matte Grey. New black diamond-plating was added along with new steel bumpers, a winch, custom LED lighting, and a NAS-style rear-mounted wheel carrier. This example rides on a set of black-painted 20" Kahn wheels that come dressed in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires.
The cabin has been completely redone and outfitted with new insulation, carpeting, a Puma dashboard, red seatbelts, and custom red and black leather upholstery with diamond-pattern stitching. Added luxuries include heated front and rear glass, heated front and rear seats, a Bluetooth phone receiver, keyless entry and alarm, USB outlets, power windows, and a custom stereo with a touchscreen head unit and a Kicker subwoofer.
The original drivetrain was swapped out in favor of a brand-new Corvette LS3 6.2 L V8 engine with an output of 420 HP and 424 lb.-ft of torque. This Defender offers full-time 4x4 capabilities as well as a dual-range transfer case and differential lockers. Other upgrades include a performance disc-brake system, a lift-kit, and new heavy-duty axles.
Accompanied by a clean title and with just over 1k miles showing on the odometer, this custom-built Defender 110 provides an exceptional value for anyone in search of vintage 4x4 with modern comfort and performance.

This is a very special TOP notch build. The builder consulted with the best and was his personal vehicle. No expense was spared and parts cost for this build was well over $100,000 without any labor factored in. Here is a chance at a true one of one build.
@SafariHP Thanks for the comment. What was sent to PCar was that SafariHP consulted this build and was heavily involved. There was support both over the phone and in person. We in no way attempting to misrepresent this build.
A little background on this truck, to start we, Safari HP did NOT build this truck. This Truck was never in our facility. We did supply the builder with the majority of the parts as well as Technical assistance at their shop and many conversations over the phone with the builders.
We at Safari HP can not assume the rights over building the truck nor can we warranty it as we only supplied parts that were installed by another facility.
We at Safari HP can not give a price point of how much is invested into this truck as SHP did not build it.
As we appreciate the credit given, we cannot take credit for a build we did not create only assist with.
We assume that it was listed as our build since we did supply multiple parts and technical assistance.
As I stated we did not build this truck and never saw the title but agree that this is not a Defender it is a Santana.

Can you post some undercarriage pictures?

@AlphaOneMotors My comment is to say, this isn’t a Land Rover. It’s a Santana. It’s also not a Defender because it’s a Santana. Frame shots will show leaf springs vs coils (unless it’s been modified).
@signalMTB Thanks for the comment. Title reads Land Rover in case bidders are wondering.
Really need to scrutinize these here, this isn’t a Defender. It’s a Santana. Fine but buyers need to know what they’re buying, and it’s not a Land Rover.
