GM introduced the C4 ZR-1 at the Geneva Auto Show in late 1989 as the most powerful and high-performance Corvette yet featuring an all-aluminum 5.7L LT5 V8 engine. This 1990 example was originally delivered in Ontario, Canada, finished in Dark Red Metallic over a black leather interior. It was part of a private collection up until 2004 and had been under the care of its last owner since 2007 when the seller acquired the car in October of 2020. Recently treated to oil service, new tires, and wheel alignment, this highly collectible ZR-1 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada showing just over 13k miles on the odometer accompanied by the original books and window sticker.
This ZR-1 is finished in Dark Red Metallic (75U) and includes both the glass targa top and color-matched removable roof panel. Compared to the standard C4 Corvette, ZR-1 features model-specific bodywork including widened rear quarter panels and a convex rear end with unique taillights. The owner notes the rear quarter panels and bumper have been previously refinished to address scratches. This ZR-1 rides on factory 17” aluminum wheels wrapped in Nitto NT555 G2 tires mounted in April of 2021 within the last 300 miles. The original tires are said to accompany the sale as well. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this Corvette is trimmed in black leather with adjustable sport bucket seats included as part of the ZR-1 Performance Package as well as optional electronic air conditioning. Other amenities include a trip computer, power windows, and an aftermarket Kenwood screen with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and a rearview camera display. The original Delco Bose Gold Series stereo is said to accompany the sale and the seller reports all features and accessories to be working properly apart from the seatback air bladders.
Developed in collaboration with Lotus, the all-aluminum 32-valve quad-cam 5.7L V8 was rated at 375 HP and 370lb.-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels through a ZF 6-speed manual transmission and mechanical limited-slip differential. Recent service is said to include wheel alignment as well as an oil change and a new battery. The ECM is also said to have been repaired under prior ownership in 2017.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, a clean title, and extensive documentation.

Don’t let the location of this car hold you back. The city of Saskatoon is served by multiple auto transport companies, for Canada or United States deliveries. Or I’ll pick you up at the Saskatoon Airport, and you can drive the car home. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this mint ZR-1 from coast to coast. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about the car.

Welcome. Thanks for viewing my 1990 ZR-1. This is a well documented, very clean first year example. This car is ready to be enjoyed. If you wish to return the car to pure stock in the future, the original tires and Bose stereo are included. I’m happy to work with the buyer to get the car safely transported to its new home. I’m happy to answer any questions.
