This 1990 BMW M3 is the subject of a custom rotisserie restoration by Gaskwerks Garage. It has been refinished in the iconic BMW color of Laguna Seca Blue and features a new interior with Recaro sport seats and custom black leather and houndstooth upholstery. The car derives power from a Turner Motorsports 2.5-liter stroker engine with Schrick cams and a SuperSprint exhaust. This M3 also features a KW coilover suspension and 17” BBS LM three-piece wheels. Driven less than 500 miles since the work was completed, this restored and upgraded E30 M3 is now being offered for auction out of New Jersey.
This E30 M3 has been completely stripped and refinished in the BMW E46-generation color of Laguna Seca Blue. Compared to a standard E30 3-series, all body parts are unique to the M3 version apart from the hood and roof panels, with the M3 further distinguishable by its boxed fenders, model-specific bumpers, flared rocker panels, and fixed rear wing. Equipment includes quad headlamps, a front spoiler with integrated fog lights, a sunroof, and dual polished SuperSprint exhaust tips. The car rides on 17” BBS LM three-piece wheels with gold-painted centers, polished outer lips, and new Continental tires.
The cabin has been redone with new black leather and houndstooth upholstery covering the Recaro front bucket seats, rear seats, and door panels. The headliner was replaced with Alcantara upholstery. Accessories include a black leather three-spoke M-Tech I steering wheel with colored stitching, an Alcantara M shift knob, BMW-branded floor mats, an M-branded instrument cluster, and power windows, mirrors, and door locks. The radio has been eliminated with a block-off plate.
Power comes from a rebuilt S14 DOHC inline-four engine with a Turner Motorsports 2.5-liter displacement upgrade kit, Schrick cams, and a SuperSprint exhaust. The rear wheels are driven through a Getrag 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car has also been modified with a KW coilover suspension.
This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Full restoration with custom Laguna Seca Blue BMW paint, Turner Motorsports 2.5L stroker motor with Schrick cams, custom interior two-tone with houndstooth centers and black leather.”

@seller thanks for answering about AC. do you have a guess as to how much power it's making?
@Polson89 Good Morning! Thank you very much for your feedback! Enjoy your amazing Porsche 993 and we would love to welcome you back at any point.
@Partyus This is a genuine Turner Motorsports engine that was then worked on at Olsen Engines. As for a receipt showing Turner Sports Motor, I will review our documents and upload the receipt to the attachment section.
@Ohiolion A/C and heat works perfectly. As for the $795 dealer fee, it is rather standard in the State of NJ for an exotic dealership. Many other dealerships charge upwards of $1100 for Dealer Document Fee.
Can you post restoration photos?
Are there any documents that this is an actual Turner Motorsport build or just a "trust me"?
@seller does the a/c and heat work? Also $800 for dealer fees is a bit aggressive IMO.
Gaswerks just did a bunch of maintenance on a 993C4S I bought recently and did a phenomenal job- great, thorough people. Just got it to CA and everything as promised. They know their stuff on at least BMW's and Porsches.
does this car have working AC and heat? are the factory radio wires still behind the block off plate?

@dukeyr We have a separate entity within Lamborghini Paramus called GasWerks Garage which specializes in ultra-high end restorations for BMW and Porsche. This was a project of the owner who is a BMW Fanatic and no expense was spared. The approx build cost was about $235,000 with parts and labour.
@seller
Thanks for the engine info. Why a lambo dealer and what did it cost?
Someone put a lot of love in this one!!!
@GoSpeedRacerGo CA smog only costs about 400 bucks and every car passes... this should be common knowledge by now.
@t.sandin63 Good Evening! I will be heading up to the climate control warehouse tomorrow to film some great start up and driving videos for all the bidders.
Any running, driving videos to share?
@dukeyr Please see answers regarding technical specs of the Turner 2.5L stroker motor, and you will be thrilled reading the 13-page attachment with all the parts that went into this spectacular build.
@surf2day Full build sheet will be uploaded to the attachment section shortly. Additonally, the 2.5L stroker motor adds about 50ft lbs of torque from stock and a total of 225 Horsepower. This vehicle has not been placed on a dyno to provide you with exact numbers.
@surf2day Good Afternoon! I will be posting the entire build sheet including the parts and pricing of the build to the attachment section. The approximate build cost at GasWerks Garage was just under $235,000. No expense was spared.
@dukeyr Good Afternoon! I will have the pictures uploaded for you tomorrow.
Donor car had 180k+ miles. Would love to see how it looked then
@seller
How about some answer to the questions below. Getting itchy to bid here but that info is key.
Thanks
Beautiful build. Any pics of the body/paint work in process? 2.5L motor specs? GLWTA
No way this would pass CA smog right?
Bid in the amount of $10,000
Do you have any technical specs that can be provided? HP/Torque, etc…
And is there a post-able full resto-mod sheet available? Thank you. 🙂
Amazing build! This really is a brand new car. Was the original paint stripped or was it painted over? What was the estimated cost of this build?
Very cool car. Love the color combo!
