As the second generation of BMW’s 3-Series and the first to offer a convertible version, the E30 has earned a cult following among enthusiasts for its timeless design and agile, lightweight chassis. Powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission, this 1990 BMW 325i Cabriolet has been refinished in metallic black over a tan leather interior and features a black soft top, fog lights, front sports seats, power windows and locks, air conditioning, aftermarket wheels, an air suspension, and a modified straight-piped exhaust system. This E30 Cabriolet is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.
The E30 325i Convertible showcases a sleek two-door convertible body style, highlighted by its iconic design that includes a boxy, angular shape, quad headlights, and signature BMW kidney grilles. Refinished in metallic black in 2019, this example features a tan soft top, fog lights, painted mirror caps, a power antenna, and aftermarket wheels. The seller notes that the wheels would benefit from refinishing and that the fenders show imperfections including minor rust on the left side. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with an accident-free CARFAX report.
The interior features front sports seats, a rear bench seat upholstered tan leather, and matching door panels. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, an onboard computer, VDO instrumentation, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The seller notes while the seats are new, the carpet shows signs of wear and may need replacement. Additionally, the speedometer is non-functional, but no warning lights are illuminated.
Power comes from a 2.5-liter M20 inline-six, which delivers a factory-rated 168 HP and 164 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission. The car is equipped with an aftermarket air suspension and straight-piped exhaust. The seller notes that the transmission was rebuilt approximately 1,500 miles ago, and the aftermarket air suspension has a minor leak.
This sale will include a clean title. The CARFAX report indicates that the vehicle exceeds mechanical limits.
The seller would like you to know: “It’s a beautiful car with great potential and the new interiors and the shine on the paint make it a great summer vehicle.”
