Up for auction is this 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe. The 944 Turbo was introduced in 1985 as Porsche's top-of-the-line front-engine sports car. Originally sold in Utah, this coupe is now in New York and is being offered in excellent driving condition with 32k miles showing on the odometer.
Although not all original, the Linen Grey Metallic paint is free of any major blemishes, is even and has a very nice shine. Please reference the photo gallery for detailed photos of the exterior's condition. The car features an aerodynamically enhanced front apron with integrated fog lights, high-beam headlights, black rubber buffers, a rear diffuser painted in the exterior color, and original 16” alloy wheels.
Inside, you will find an ultra clean linen and black leather interior that shows hardly any wear. All aspects including the seats and dashboard are crisp and reminiscent of a new vehicle. A few key interior features include: a factory Blaupunkt radio with EQ dials, power windows, and a dashboard clock. All components are stated to be in excellent working order.
This 944 Turbo retains its original turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four engine that produces 258HP and 250 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. Prior to listing for auction, this car received a full PPI on behalf of the seller. Results are viewable in the photo gallery, showing the car to be in excellent running condition.
Known for its 50-50 weight distribution, the 944 is quickly becoming one of Porsches hottest selling sports cars.
The sale will include a clean Carfax, books, and one key.

@deaRaiiled The color is Linen Metallic, the listing has been updated.
I believe the color is Zermatt Silver
Looks like Magnus walker just bought one very similar to this, I’m sure the value will triple now lol
Dumb question of the day and I called myself having looked: what color is this? It looks Champaign in some pics, and silver in others.
Any deformation of the rockers from clueless jacking as so many of these suffered?
Any clarity to shed on ‘mostly’ repainted vs total repaint?
Thanks.

Was the car resprayed in original factory color? If so what is the color name and number
@JNasty do not know - I was told by the inspector he could tell it was changed but, we dont have records on the exact time/date/miles.
@ryangfriedman - when was last belts and water pump service? Time and miles?
@JNasty no dash cracks or vent deformation - car is really clean - regarding mounts he just notated that they were old - I’m sure in the future it could be something to consider - he didn’t say it was something urgent or needed to be done right away. As you see the ppi is pretty detailed and I had him notate anything and everything he could find.
@JNasty @ryangfriedman - no dash cracks or vent deformations, correct? PPI also notes engine and tranny mounts as "old" meaning should be replaced?
@ryangfriedman - got it, thanks.
@drjoe356 - yep that is what the PPI said and the description was not that express and the verbiage was "not ALL original" which sort of indicated some was.
@JNasty car had a repaint - no accident - no bondo of any sort - there are no tape lines so whoever did it did a great clean job.
@JNasty PPI notes "Total Repaint"
Seller: What exactly does "Although not all original, the paint is is free of any major blemishes, is even and has a very nice shine" mean?
