A 1-owner 1989 Guards Red 944 S2 with 67k original miles is looking for its next owner.  The car comes equipped with a 5-speed manual transaxle, accompanied by a normally aspirated 3.0L Inline 4cl that produces 208 HP and 207 Lb-Ft Torque.

The factory original exterior paint is in excellent condition and presents itself very well.  The seller reports some rock chips and a small (fixable) dent above the driver door. The completely original interior is finished in black with partial leather seating surfaces. When browsing the photos, it is clear that this is a well cared for Porsche in excellent condition.  The car retains the factory digital clock, 4-spoke steering wheel w/ driver airbag, shift knob and rear window wiper. The car also comes equipped with a Charleston SQR 26 Radio.

The car was invited to be displayed at Rennsport 6 specifically due to its originality and condition.   It also acquired several awards from past PCA events. The seller will provide an array of items such as records dating back 30+ years, original tool kit, both original keys, original books, and the original window sticker. Accordingly, the car is said to have been consistently garaged and covered since new, with absolutely no rust. This 944 is clearly one of the more spectacular examples on the market.

Recent service items addressed include timing belt, balance belt, A/C Compressor, coolant hoses, a set of Michelin tires, and a newly installed battery.  Seller reports that the car is in excellent running condition.

The Porsche 944 was first introduced to the market as the front engine predecessor to the Porsche 924.  Its more aggressive stance not only looked great but resulted in increased handling and performance.   In 1989 Porsche decided to make some slight upgrades including an increase of 20 HP and a larger engine displacement while keeping the same curb weight.
