The Porsche 930 Turbo entered its final model year in 1989 and became available with an improved 5-speed G50 manual transmission. This example is one of only 600 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolets produced for the U.S. in 1989 and comes finished in Guards Red over a Cashmere Beige leather interior. It was delivered new in California and came factory-equipped with a limited-slip differential, a short-shift gear lever, a heated driver's seat, velour luggage compartment lining, and a Special Wishes center console. The car spent its entire life in California and is supported by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity showing a numbers matching engine and transmission. Benefitting from a major recent service including a new clutch, brakes, and engine seals, this highly collectible 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet is now being offered for auction out of Connecticut with approximately 72k miles on the odometer.
This 930 features Turbo-specific bodywork including wide fenders, a front chin spoiler, and a Tea Tray rear spoiler. It comes finished in Guards Red with a black convertible top and has been fitted with Slant Nose-style boxed rocker panels. Other equipment includes a black tonneau cover, rear fender stone guards, a front valence with integrated fog lights, a periscope-style third brake light, a double-tipped exhaust outlet, and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels with polished outer lips and colored Porsche crest center caps. New Pirelli P Zero tires were mounted in 2021, the hood was previously refinished, and the seller describes the exterior to be in very good overall condition while showing a few minor imperfections. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Cashmere Beige leather upholstery complemented by matching carpets and a black leather dashboard. Equipment includes a leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel on an elevated hub, a Sonderwunsch (Special Wishes) center console with CD storage, air conditioning, power seats, a heated driver’s seat, an upgraded Nakamichi stereo, and velour carpet luggage compartment lining. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional, and the interior is described to be in excellent condition.
A turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 282 HP and 289 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The seller notes an engine rebuild was completed in the early 2000s and service was completed at 70k miles including a new clutch, engine seals, belts, brakes, and fluids. Corresponding service records are said to accompany the sale.
This sale will include extensive documentation, a toolkit, a spare tire, a car cover, and a clean title.

A few thoughts as we head towards the close:
* I will be here monitoring for the rest of the auction. So please feel free to ask questions and share the experience too.
* Additionally, I would be happy to assist with your logistics including shipping.
* A big reminder (especially if you are a PcarMarket novice) :if you really want the car, please be mindful of the PcarMarket clock; reset your browser every time you open this auction. Failing to do so could mean your computer is not aligned with the official auction timer, and you could miss the car. Ultimately, there is no benefit to last minute or last second bidding on PcarMarket, as the clock resets with each bid placed in each consecutive last 2 minutes. So why risk missing her?
I will be here for any questions. Good luck!

@JohnBlackyoldtimer thank you for your interest. I didnt know the old owner, but I have extensive maintenance records. I have uploaded all of the documentation on the engine work in 2004. let me know your thoughts or any other information you need.
Nice car. You shouldn't Rev it like that when it's cold though.
Hello, can you tell us about the previous owners and how the engine was resealed? Are you putting up a driving video where we can see the turbo starting? Can you still measure the coating thickness of the paint and take more pictures of the driver's seat? Thanks for that.
