For the 1987 model year, Porsche’s 928 grand touring car underwent its most significant evolution yet with the introduction of the S4 model featuring an aerodynamically improved design and a new 5.0-liter V8 engine with four valves per cylinder. Finished in White Gold Metallic over Black interior upholstery, this 1989 example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York with under 100k miles showing on the odometer.
Compared to earlier 928 models, the S4 features more rounded, aerodynamic bodywork including a revised front valance with integrated fog lights and a raised black rear spoiler. This example is finished in White Gold Metallic with matching body side moldings. Equipment includes pop-up headlamps, headlight washers, an electric sunroof, rear window wiper, a single oval exhaust outlet. Upgraded 17” 996 Carrera 4 wheels have been mounted with Cooper Zeon RS3-A tires from 2014. A slight imperfection is noted on the driver’s side door molding corner, and detailed images and a clean CARFAX report are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features Black upholstery with matching floor mats and a leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel. Amenities include power-adjustable front seats, power windows and mirrors, cruise control, automatic climate control, rear seat air conditioning, a central locking system, a locking glovebox, and a digital clock. An Alpine head unit has been installed, and the seller notes minor sun cracks on the dashboard above the steering column.
This 928 S4 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter DOHC V8 engine factory-rated at 320 HP and 317 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed automatic gearbox. Braking is handled by fixed four-piston calipers and ventilated discs at each corner. Within the last five years, the following items have reportedly been serviced with parts sourced from 928sRus:
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a spare tire.
The seller would like you to know: “This was one of my dream cards to own since I was 9 years old. It's an extremely smooth cruising ride, and you can drive from New York to California with ease. The balance of the car makes driving it a joy, and it turns heads wherever you go. Unfortunately, I don't have enough space and time to drive the car more, and I have decided to let this love go. 1989 saw the resolution of previous versions' issues, and the digitizing of the instrument cluster helped to create better reliability with mileage accuracy. With some additional attention from the next owner this car will be a great addition to anyone's collection.”

Can you post a few videos (outside, inside, cold start and driving)?
@Urbanista Sure I can post a few of the underside as well
Love the condition and color combination on this 928. Given its New England provenance it would be really great to have a couple of underbody photos to ascertain if the condition down below is the same as topsides. Unfortunately some salt corrosion can afflict the suspension and brake parts making service more costly. Thanks!
