An exceptional example among Porsche’s most sought-after air-cooled 911s, this 1989 Speedster was configured without wide “Turbo Look” bodywork, a selection made for just 161 Speedsters out of the total 2,065 produced in total. Finished in Silver Metallic over Black leather, this particular example was produced in 1989 with equipment for the French market (C05) including a non-catalyst 3.2-liter engine paired with a G50 5-speed manual gearbox. It was sold new by Porsche Strasbourg and has been registered in France in 1992. In addition to its rare narrow bodywork and metallic color, this Speedster was ordered with optional electric Sport Seats, Bilstein shock absorbers, velour luggage compartment lining, and a short-throw shifter. Having been cared for by the same owner over the past 27 years, this Speedster is now being offered for auction by its seller out of France showing approximately 23k kilometers (14k miles) on the odometer accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
This 911 comes finished in traditional Silver Metallic and sports European bumpers, side markers, and yellow-tinted foglights. The styling of Porsche’s original 356 Speedster is evoked with a shortened windscreen, side windows, and double hump decklid cover behind the front seats. The seller reports that factory welds, Sekurit glass, and Cosmoline coating remain intact and that original production labels are fixed in place throughout the body. The factory 16” Fuchs forged light-alloy wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The black leather interior includes optional electrically adjustable Sport Seats along with a short-shifter, anti-theft device, and velour-lined luggage compartment. The car is equipped with a high-quality Pioneer sound system including an amplifier hidden beneath the passenger footrest, a pair of tweeters under the dashboard, and upgraded speakers fitted in factory locations. The leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of a central tachometer flanked by a 260 KMH speedometer correctly dated 6/89, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for oil, fuel, and temperature.
The air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine was unrestricted by factory emissions equipment seen on U.S. models, providing an output of up to 231 HP compared to 217 HP. The rear wheels are driven through a G50 5-speed manual gearbox. While the narrow-bodied Speedster lacks the suspension geometry of its Turbo-Look counterparts, it sheds approximately 80kg of weight while providing more nimble handling. The seller reports all service and maintenance have been performed routinely by renowned specialists or Porsche dealers in the area.
The sale and shipment of the vehicle will be facilitated by the French Porsche dealer Classic Partner in Lorient. Accompanying items include a toolkit, owner’s manuals, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, two keys, two emergency keys, three wheel locks keys, two alarm remotes, the original key card, the antenna key, stamped service manual, Speedster owner operating top supplement manual, appraisal, and service receipts. An issue of RS Magazine from September 2011 is also included featuring a road test of this car.

@Glickster Thanks for your comments, the car drives like a new car, hood down with the hump it's looking beautiful and the narrow shape is so Porsche 911 purest design.
@Silver930 Agreed. I can't remember ever seeing one of these in person ever! Very cool. And very rare. Beautiful!!
@Silver930 Wellcome, you are completely right, they don't come along very often as the production figures were very very low in the narrow body shape. Thanks for your kind comment.

@PorscheLorient Thank you for your reply.
@momotime To answer precisely, one of the rear wings has been repainted due to the last owner motorbike falling down in his garage but nothing bad only a scratch, otherwise the paint is original the car is fully matching (paint, gearbox, engine), you will see on the pictures the COA and the numbers to confirm, the car will be service at Porsche dealer before delivery, at 11245 miles the car was serviced, the radio isn't of course original but has been upgraded with a nice amp and everything is hidden other than that and the cut off all original, still have the wax from the factory on the châssis, the car was first registered in 92 and had two meticulous owners, I have the two titles copy so I can prove it.
iSorry difficult to see in images but are there any panels repainted or is the car 100% original paint.
Is the transmission original to the car
Other than stereo and battery cut off switch, any modifications to the car
When was the last service and was it the major service
how many owners has the car had
thank you.
