Produced as a limited-edition model in 1989, the Porsche 911 Speedster celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Porsche 911 and the final year of the Carrera 3.2. It draws inspiration from the original 356 Speedster model of the 1950s, featuring a steep, low-profile windscreen, a double-hump rear deck, and a lightweight driver-focused design. This example is one of 823 Speedsters delivered new to the U.S. It came finished in Guards Red over a black interior and was configured with emissions equipment for California, an optional shortened gear shift lever, and a Blaupunkt Reno radio. The car spent time in California and Georgia before the current owner’s purchase in 2018. Showing just under 7k miles on the odometer, this 911 Speedster will soon be offered for auction out of Connecticut, accompanied by its original window sticker and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
The 911 Speedster is based on a contemporary Carrera Cabriolet and features wider rear fenders from the 911 Turbo, a shorter, steeper windscreen, and a fiberglass double-hump rear deck cover. This example is finished in Guards Red with a black convertible soft top. Equipment includes a front valence with integrated fog lights, heated power-adjustable mirrors, black stone guard decals, and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels. The seller notes the exterior is in excellent overall condition, and the paint is believed to be all original. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black interior includes partial leather Sport Seats, a four-spoke leather steering wheel, and a storage compartment in place of the rear seats. The 911 Speedster came without power windows or air conditioning as standard features. This example was optioned with a shortened gear shift lever and a Blaupunkt Reno radio. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.
An air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 215 HP and 195 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle. Standard equipment includes front and rear stabilizer bars, rack-and-pinion steering, and ventilated disc brakes with fixed 2-piston calipers. The seller indicates the car has been regularly serviced and was routinely driven for mechanical exercise while in the current owner’s collection.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, the original window sticker, a spare tire, a toolkit, a battery trickle charger, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Low mileage collector grade 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster driven sparingly over the past 7 years. Collector-owned and stored in a climate-controlled environment. Ready for a new home. Thank you for visiting our auction.”

We are down to the last few hours of our first auction. Thank you to everyone who bid and commented. This was learning experience for us and we hope to correct somethings in the future. We should have a start up video posted shorty. Thanks Again! Good Luck Bidding!
In are 7 years of ownership the car has only been driven a handful of miles to just exercise the car. The rest of the time it’s been in a climate controlled building in our private collection.
2 things trouble me here,
7,000 miles on a porsche is really nothing....but,
Why are the brake rotors so scored?
The undercarriage looks like it as weathered a few winters outdoors as well as the apparent oil coating and soil collection on all the suspension parts....Can seller give some details?

Unfortunately we do not have paint meter readings. The paint is believed to be 100% original. You are welcome to do a pre-purchase inspection anytime during the auction.
Are you going to post paint meter readings?

A no-A/C US-production Speedster. Mine has no A/C. This is the way to buy these cars: simpler, lighter, cleaner engine bay without the A/C plumbing, and true to the spirit of the Speedster! (G-body A/C without mods is not useful anyways.)
Bid in the amount of $55,000
If my wife would let me buy another car this would be it. Always loved this car and if Steve McQueen was alive this is what he woud be driving.
