This 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe comes finished in Guards Red and boasts an impressive list of factory options including Sport Seats, Sports Shock Absorbers, a short shift lever, limited-slip differential, rear model designation delete, and more. It had been left untouched in the original owner’s garage for nearly 15 years when it was acquired by the current owner earlier in 2022. This Coupe was subsequently serviced by an air-cooled Porsche specialist and made roadworthy for its next owner. Showing approximately 112k miles on the odometer, this final-year Carrera 3.2 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This Carrera comes finished in Guards Red (L80K) and was specified without a model designation on the rear end. Equipment includes an optional rear window wiper, front valence with integrated fog lights, and factory 15” Fuchs wheels dressed in new Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The right rear quarter panel is said to have been previously refinished and clear-coated, while the finish is described to have been kept in good overall condition. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a full CARFAX report.
The Champagne Beige interior features a pair of factory optional Sport Seats and a shortened gear shift lever for the G50 manual transmission. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional including the sunroof, power windows, and air-conditioning. The factory specifications label on the underside of the hood lists the following original equipment codes:
The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed G50 manual transmission paired with a 3.2-liter flat-six engine producing up to 217 HP. The seller reports the car was towed to an air-cooled Porsche specialist upon their acquisition who restored the car to proper running order in preparation for the next owner.
This sale will include the original owner’s manuals, toolkit, spare tire, and service records. The CARFAX report shows a Not Actual Miles (NAM) title to have been issued, however, the car is accompanied by a clean Florida title and the seller contests that the mileage displayed on the odometer is accurate.

Steve9911 and dr90930. I hope you both had a good weekend and will continue your battle for this beautiful car. Thank you for your bids and Good Luck! RUBYCAT
Dear Monday Bidders, Just wanted to add a couple of comments: We always make mention of whether or not the paint is original and as has been mentioned, except for the right rear panel, all is original. Some other original features on this lovely car are that seats, carpets and dash are all original. The seats show wear, however, there are not cracks at all. The dash and door panels show no wear whatsoever. In other words: IT IS A VERY CLEAN CAR AND READY TO GO!!!
Good Luck bidding on Monday. Rubycat
Hi Bidders. PCAR is sorry about the mix-up, and so am I. Things were moving nicely at the end.
Just so you know, we are getting quite a bit of rain here in Sarasota today and tomorrow, however, have no worries, the beautiful 1989 Red Porsche 911 is safe and dry!!! Enjoy your weekend and if there are any questions, please feel free to ask them. I will be watching the PCAR site over the weekend. Cheers, RUBYCAT
Due to an issue with a third party vendor, bidders experienced screen update delays during this auction. To be fair to all, this auction will be extended to end on the next auction day (Mon 6/6). We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

Thanks CarGuyAfun and Hugh522 for your bids :-)
@Aberas2529 Thank you, we believe it is beautiful as well :-) Apparently a shopping cart scraped many years ago and the rear panel was repainted and clear sealed. The seal was not well done and it was coming off at 2 points on the panel. I just had it professionally done. The rest of the car is all original paint.
Thanks for your inquiry.
@Archer1 The car was bought from the widow of the original owner and she knew only that she believed the 112'500 that it now has was correct. (The original owner passed away several years ago and the car just sat). Everyone has their opinions about the validity of Carfax. There have been no accidents, (which Carfax would have reported) and the paint is 80% original.
The car is straight, recently tuned, new tires and ready to go.
Thanks for your question.
Beautiful car. Any further information as to why the rear quarter was refinished and cleared? Thank you in advance.
@ Rubycat (seller)- Any explanation on the Not Actual Miles title. Thx

To Gapbrother: Thank you for your bid
Mr. Persnickety, Thanks four your interest. The car was immediately taken to the number 1 air-cooled Porsche specialist in Sarasota. Unfortunately, it is impossible to read his handwritten invoice. He has been in business for over 40 years. He drained all the fluids (No rust in the gas tank). Had the ECU unit and the fuel injectors rebuilt. New fuel filter, new plugs, new sound deadening pad, new oil filter, new air filters did some work on the A/c unit and it now works.
I replaced the tires with Michelins. I have driven the car approx 300 miles and will continue to drive it occasonally as it is a real pleasure to drive.
Having brought an '86 Carrera back to life after 12 years in storage, there are a lot of questions here. Posting photos of detailed receipts for the work done to revive this car would do a lot to answer questions that anyone bidding on this car should have.
Also, how many miles have been put on the car since the work was done?

Welcome all. I will be available during the Auction.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
The car has spent it's entire life here in sunny Sarasota Florida.
Have fun and good luck with bidding.
