During the final model year of the G-Body 911, only 860 Targa versions were produced for the North American market in 1989. This 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa comes finished in Velvet Red Metallic over Cashmere Beige upholstery and features a desirable G50 5-speed manual transmission, cruise control, a sound system, and an amplifier. Showing less than 36k miles on the odometer, this Targa is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Oklahoma.
This 911 is finished in Velvet Red Metallic (L81L) complemented by a black Targa bar and removable roof panel. Other equipment includes H4 headlamps, integrated fog lights, power mirrors, a heated rear window, rear bumperettes, and front & rear spoilers. It rides on 16” Fuchs alloy wheels wrapped in Falken tires from 2007. The seller notes some scratches on the hood and a dent in the driver’s side rocker panel. Paint touch-ups are indicated, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Cashmere Beige partial leather (LC) upholstery and matching Porsche-lettered floor mats. Amenities include power seats, power windows, and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors. Optional equipment includes cruise control, a sound system, and an amplifier. Additionally, a Clarion head unit has been fitted. The seller notes minor leather wear and a few carpet stains.
An air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 217 HP and 195 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle. The seller adds that an enhanced exhaust system as well as upgraded brake rotors and calipers have been fitted. Additionally, a tune-up is said to have been performed in preparation for the sale, including replacing fluids, spark plugs, and filters.

@TheGerman We wouldn't be able to answer your question pertaining to the shifter knob. Apologies for any inconvenience. We obtained the car as is, and don't have background on its past. If I had to guess, I'd venture to say it's likely because it's 35 year old leather that could be withering due to age and oils/dirt and such from hands.
We believe the AC is R134a. Happy bidding!

@themachinestl Correct, there are cracks on the dash above the speedo/tach. We aren't aware of any other cracks.

I am surprised at how bad the shift knob looks in the car after only 37K miles.

It is the original paint, yes. We don't have the equipment for the paint meter, but we'll make a call to a paint rep to see if he's able to come get a reading before the auction ends. With the holidays, it may be tough to get on short notice, but we'll see what we can do and post it once/if we're able.

@urfealex Thank you! Unfortunately, we don't have any documentation other than the CarFax. We do know, however, the previous owner did have it stored away for a long time.
