This 1989 Porsche 911 is a final-year Carrera Coupe that was originally delivered in Canada and finished in Black over a matching leather interior. It features a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle paired with a 3.2-liter flat-six engine upgraded with a Paxton supercharger, K&N air intake, headers, and a custom exhaust. The car is also equipped with factory Sport Seats, an original Blaupunkt radio, 17” BBS wheels, upgraded brakes, Turbo-style spoilers, air conditioning, and a power sunroof. Purchased by the seller from its previous owner of 11 years in June 2024, this supercharged 911 has been freshly serviced and is now being offered for auction out of Canada with approximately 85k kilometers (53k miles) on the odometer.
This 911 is finished in Black and has been modified with a front chin spoiler, a Turbo “Tea Tray” rear spoiler, and 17” BBS wheels. Other equipment includes integrated fog lights, headlamp washers, heated and power-adjustable mirrors, an electric sunroof, red brake calipers, and quad exhaust tips. It rides on Bridgestone Potenza S03 tires in front and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires in the rear. The seller believes the rear quarter panel was previously refinished based on paint meter readings and the exterior was refreshed under their ownership with two-stage polishing, paint chip touch-ups, and paintless dent removal. The driver’s side fog light and passenger-side headlamp lens were also replaced. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black interior features leather Sport Seats, a four-spoke leather steering wheel, and an original Blaupunkt Reno SQR 46 cassette stereo. Other accessories include an optional shortened gear shift lever, power windows, air conditioning, a central locking system, a rear window defroster, analog VDO gauges, and an electronic air-fuel ratio meter mounted below the dashboard. All gauges and accessories are said to be functional, although the rear window wiper has been removed and the heater boxes are eliminated by exhaust headers.
Power comes from an air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine fitted with a Paxton SN2000 supercharger about 15 years ago. The engine has also been modified with a K&N air intake, headers, and a custom dual exhaust. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle and stopping power comes from upgraded brakes with cross-drilled discs. Service in July 2024 included an oil change, new spark plugs, ignition wires, and a new distributor cap and rotor.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, an air pump, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for checking out this low mileage 89 Carrera Coupe. I acquired this car locally from a mature owner and it has been used sparingly and well taken care of. The low-pressure Paxton Supercharger kit was installed over 15 years ago and has proven to be completely trouble free and provides this car with additional thrust making it feel like a larger displacement motor. This car needs nothing, and I would not hesitate to jump in it and do a cross-country trip. If the successful bidder is interested in a fly-and-ride I am more than happy to pick them up at Toronto Airport (YYZ) and assist with obtaining a temporary tag. Alternatively, I can assist with shipping arrangements anywhere in North America. Good luck bidding!”

What's the process to have it shipped to US? Just duties?

Lots of personal messages about importation into the U.S from Canada. It is very simple as the car is over 25 years of age and exempt from DOT requirements. 3 forms to complete at the border, 2.5% duty paid to U.S Customs, car is titled in your State using the Ontario, Canada registration along with the bill of sale and stamped customs documents. State tax varies from State to State. The Customs forms can be done by the buyer or with the assistance of a Broker who charge about $500.00.
@993David yes the headers are removed. The reason people upgrade to SSI's is because they are stainless steel and don't rust and also because their exhaust pipes under the heat exchangers are more of a "free flowing" header design vs stock which are more restrictive.
@Bulletproofauto but the headers would need to come out, correct?
@Jnerad being over 25 years old the car is exempt from DOT requirements. 3 forms to fill out at the border, 2.5 % duty paid to customs on purchase price. Emissions requirements vary from State to State
@993David yes factory heat exchangers or even better a set of SSI stainless steel exchangers will give you heat.

What is involved in importing to the US? Taxes, duties, pollution control, etc?
Would the headers have to be removed to reinstall the heat exchangers to get heat into the cabin?

Bid in the amount of $19,500
@windsurfar no oil leaks, sunroof works perfectly , all that's needed for heat is to reinstall heat exchangers on the exhaust. Has nothing to do with the supercharger. Thanks
Bid in the amount of $19,000
Sorry if this has been answered, are there any oil leaks? Any idea whether you can have heat re-installed, or does supercharger make this impossible? Does sunroof function properly? Thanks

Good morning final day for the auction of this very special 911.
Quick recap - Ontario, Canada from new, never seen winter, no accidents, low mileage with some nice options including factory sports seats. Just serviced, needs nothing but a new owner.
I will be available all day to answer any questions potential buyers may have.
Lastly I welcome out of town buyers to consider a fly and ride. Toronto is a beautiful city and the weather here is great this time of the year. If this is not an option, I can assist with coordinating transport anywhere in North America.

@Strubes don't have an actual numeric figure for the boost, but it is low. These Paxton kits were relatively common in the 90's. It was the mild option option vs a scroll variant that produced more boost and power. This car has a wideband O2 sensor fitted to the engine and you'll see a digital air-fuel gauge mounted on the lower part of the dashboard under the ashtray. This monitors the fuel mixture.
Any idea how much boost it is running? How is engine management handled?
I've just added a photo of my Porsche Club North America membership that's been active since 1998. I posted this because although I'm a collector car dealer, I'm really a Porsche nut through and through. I've owned in excess of 10 air cooled 911's including three 930 Turbo's. This is a very special car in exceptional condition. Bid with confidence.

@Lombard-RAC yes it has factory operational A/C but no heat
@Bulletproofauto In the description it lists the following
"although the rear window wiper has been removed and the heater boxes are eliminated by exhaust headers"
It also mentions AC so does it have AC but not heat?
Gorgeous looking classic 911 and LOVE the BBS LMs!
Beautiful 964 with some tasteful mods. Will be curious to see how this does! GLWA!

Undercarriage photos as well as a video have been added to the listing. We don't drive air cooled Porsches in Canadian winters. I'm sure you'll agree when you see the video and photos. Thanks
@sportscarguy3 thanks for the positive feedback. It really is a bad ass looking and sounding 911. I'm not sure about the CA emissions thing. From what I've read, California is the only U.S State that may present a problem for smog because the car was not originally sold there and the standards are higher than other states? Others may chime in.
Man, GOOD LOOKING Porsche !!
Just my style
Unfortunately, most likely above my budget limitations but fun to look at and watch drive.
Perhaps not California smog / emissions compliant ! ?
Good luck all, a very handsome Porsche ( imho )

@993David I've read about 340hp and that feels about right. I spoke with the last two owners. The gentleman I got the car from purchased the car in 2013 from his mechanic. I spoke to this mechanic/previous owner. He bought the car in 2009 from a local couple with about 70,000 km's on it. The supercharger had recently been installed meaning the install has about 15 years, 15,000 km's or 9500 miles on it. It is not a high boost modification and is relatively simple to remove.
Do you have an estimate of brake or wheel hp with the mods? Also, do you know the mileage when the supercharger was installed?
