Being offered for auction is this distinctive one-owner 1989 911 Carrera G50 25th Anniversary Edition Coupe. Manufactured in limited numbers, this very special model is one of the final G-body 911 coupes produced by Porsche. Only 300 were manufactured worldwide with only approximately 60 finished in the rarely seen Satin Black Metallic featured here. This example features a clean bill of health and is now being offered with just 54k miles showing on the odometer by its seller in Huntington, NY.
Finished in factory Satin Black Metallic, this 911 is said to be in great overall condition which is clear when viewing the gallery photos. According to the previous owner, there was minor damage sustained to the driver side fender after being tapped in a parking lot (recorded on Carfax). Upon having it repaired, the owner took the opportunity to refresh the vehicle with a high quality respray in its original color to bring this 911 back to its former glory. An inspection as well as meter readings reveal that this 911 suffered no structural damage of any kind and no signs of previous body work. A few key exterior features of this 25th anniversary include a factory spoiler, rear window wiper, fog lights, and a set of original Fuchs wheels which wear an older set of BGGoodrich tires. The seller notes that a new set of tires will be installed prior to pickup by the new owner.
Inside, you will find a very well-kept original Linen leather interior. The seller notes that all gauges and accessories are in great working order including the air-conditioning system. As a limited production vehicle, the car received a handful of special features including: deviated piping on the seats, a revised center console and extended leather on the steering wheel, knee bar, shift knob, and boot. You will also find a “25th anniversary” badge located on the glove compartment, further expressing this 911’s rarity.
This 911 retains its numbers matching 3.2L flat-six air-cooled engine. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a desirable G50 5-speed transaxle that is said to shift smoothly through all of the gears. This 911 has recently received a fresh service that consisted of all fluids and filters changed. A new engine sound pad was also recently installed along with a new turn signal switch. The seller notes that this Carrera Coupe is in great running condition and an absolute thrill to drive.

@Mrosilio yes it was upgraded to R134 and is functional. It is cold, however, not sure of your level of experience with an air cooled 911. They aren’t like being in a new Lexus in the middle of August if you know what I mean.

Please bear in mind the original owner is deceased and limited info was available which is why I had a compression test and visual inspection conducted to verify condition.

@Katman90 hello. Thank you for the kind words. As mentioned in previous comments the driver side fender sustained minor damage which is what was noted on CARFAX. The exhaust tip is a minor flaw from a parking barrier or curb and is typical on these models. Thank you for the interest.

@Brecktex Hello. According to the CARFAX report, the damage was reported in 2003. I will be upfront in saying that I am answering this to the best of my ability as the previous owner of the car had unfortunately become ill and passed away. I purchased the car from his wife and her account was that she was in the car with him when exiting a parking lot and the front wheels were in the right lane at a stop waiting for a red light. A driver rolled forward and tapped them in the left fender. She said it to be minor.
I had gone through the car with a paint meter and it reveals good readings that show there is no sign body work anywhere on the vehcile. I also closely inspected all of the panels (which appear original) and frame of the vehicle which seems to be undisturbed as well.
I hope this helps and anyone is free to come inspect the car. No secrets or games here. This is a very honest example that someone will no doubt enjoy.
