Representing the final year of the R107 generation Mercedes-Benz SL-Class roadster and the most powerful version offered in North America, this 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is finished in Black over a matching leather interior. It equips a 5.6-liter V8 engine, a 4-speed automatic transmission, fully independent suspension, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, automatic climate control, and 15” alloy wheels. The car was sold new in Santa Rosa, California, and reportedly accumulated the first 100k miles driving between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles as a commuter car by the original owner. The second long-term owner used it as a weekend driver in Marin County before it was purchased by the seller, its third owner, about 2 years ago. As previously listed on PCARMARKET, this lifelong California car is now being offered for auction at no-reserve with approximately 211k miles showing on the odometer.
This R107 came factory-finished in Black with a matching retractable soft top and a painted removable hard top. Equipment includes chrome bumpers, trim, and mirror covers, quad headlamps, fog lights, an automatic antenna, variable speed windshield wipers, a third brake light, a dual-tipped Magnaflow muffler, and chrome 15” Gullideckel wheels dressed in 2017-dated tires. The seller indicates the car has been garage-kept and protected by a car cover, although signs of road-going wear are consistent with the car’s age. The cabin is appointed with Black leather upholstery with matching carpets and burl wood trim. I have over $11,000 in recent receipts for mechanical and maintenance work done to bring the car into the current condition.
Only reason we are selling that we have 7 cars and only 6 garage spots.
