Launched in 1989 as part of Kawasaki’s Ninja series, the ZX-7 is a production version of the 1988 ZXR-7 race bike and was one of the most popular sport bikes of the 1990s. It features a lightweight aluminum twin-spar frame, adjustable Uni-Trak monoshock suspension, triple disc brakes, 17” aluminum alloy wheels, and a liquid-cooled 749 DOHC inline-four producing 105 HP. Designated as an H1 for the launch model year, this 1989 example is finished in a traditional green, white, and blue color scheme and has been modified with a Yoshimura carbon fiber muffler. Said to have been cared for by its second owner since 2010, this iconic vintage sport bike is now being offered for auction out of Canada with approximately 20k kilometers or 12k miles showing on the odometer.
The ZX-7 uses a lightweight pressed aluminum “E-Box” twin-spar frame. It features a front fairing with dual headlights and ram-air intakes, dual mirrors, a two-passenger seat with a removable rear cowl, folding foot pegs, rear-set foot controls, clip-on handlebars, and a clear windscreen. The instrumentation consists of a 170-mph speedometer, a 12k-rpm redline tachometer, and a coolant temperature gauge. The bodywork is green with contrasting white and blue stripes, and the bike rides on green-finished three-spoke 17” aluminum alloy wheels.
Up to 105 HP and 49 lb.-ft of torque comes from a liquid-cooled 749cc DOHC inline-four with four Keihin constant velocity carburetors. An aftermarket Yoshimura carbon fiber muffler has been installed and the original exhaust is included in the sale. The chain-driven rear wheel is spun by a 6-speed manual transmission with a hydraulically operated slipper clutch. The suspension includes adjustable 43mm telescopic front forks and an adjustable Uni-Trak monoshock connected to the rear swingarm. Stopping power comes from dual 310mm disc brakes and 4-piston calipers in front, and a single 230mm disc with a 2-piston caliper at the rear. The seller notes routine fluid changes have been kept up to date.
This motorcycle is offered with an owner’s manual, a toolkit, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This week's opportunity to step back in time to 1989 and acquire the queen of the era. Ninja ZX-7. Great combo color. Looks fantastic & drives like new. Another happy client is in sight! GL.”

@zracer196 Hello there: Copy of Registration submitted to the site so the Lot can go Live, for internal use only.
when was the last service performed on the bike? Any major accidents or repairs? Is this still the original paint and stickers? It seems to be idling very high, but I can't tell if it due to choke or throttle. Interested in the bike but trying to determine how much work may be needed. thanks.
Hello...Is there a photo of the title? Sorry if I missed it. Thanks!
@SubRedTed Amen to that brother!
This is an absolutely gorgeous machine, iconic color combinations with peak 80s/90s nostalgia. if I could somehow pick this up without my wife murdering me, I’d be heading your way with a trailer lol.
