This 1989 Ford Mustang LX Coupe is finished in Bright Red over Scarlet Red upholstery and features a 5.0-liter small block V8 engine paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Based on Ford’s Fox platform, the third-generation Mustang is characterized by its sharp, sleek bodywork, providing improved aerodynamics compared to prior generations. This 1989 example is finished in Bright Red and features black body moldings, fender flares, dual power-adjustable mirrors, halogen headlamps, a rear window defroster, an integrated rear spoiler, “5.0” fender badges, and dual exhaust tailpipes. Four new tires were mounted to the factory 15” alloy wheels in 2022 along with replacement headlamps. The seller notes some corrosion on the underbody and chips and scratches around the exterior. The cabin features Scarlet Red vinyl and cloth upholstery, patterned seat centers, and matching red carpets. Accessories include a black two-spoke steering wheel, front sport seats with power-adjustable lumbar support, red seatbelts, power windows and door locks, cruise control, air conditioning, luxury sound insulation, a rear cargo cover, a premium sound system, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo.
The 5.0-liter V8 engine delivers a factory-rated output of 225 HP and 300 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is equipped with power-assisted front disc brakes, power rack & pinion steering, an aftermarket cold air intake, and Flowmaster mufflers. Service invoices show the valve cover gaskets were replaced in October 2022 at just under 18k miles along with a new PCV valve, transmission pan gasket and filter, transmission fluid, differential fluid, and an oil and filter change.

Happy New Year and welcome to this listing for an extremely nice show condition original 18,000 mile 1989 Mustang LX 5.0. One will be pressed to find a better example anywhere and it comes complete with original window sticker, owners booklets and a deluxe Marti Report and Steller recent maintenance.
