This 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo is finished in Maraschino Red Metallic over a Light Grey leather and Porsche script cloth interior. It derives power from a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle and has been modified with a mass airflow conversion kit, a Lindsey Racing exhaust system, an adjustable boost pressure valve, a KLR engine chip, and Bilstein dampers. The seller purchased the car in June 2024 and oversaw a major service including a new water pump, timing belt, motor mounts, ignition components, engine seals, and more. Showing approximately 32k miles on the odometer, this 944 Turbo is now being offered for auction out of Oklahoma.
Compared to a standard 944 model, the Turbo version includes a rounded aerodynamic nose and a body-colored rear diffuser. This example is finished in rare Maraschino Red Metallic paint and rides on silver 17” Turbo Twist wheels. Equipment includes pop-up headlamps, integrated fog lights, heated power mirrors, a sunroof, a rear spoiler, and a polished exhaust tip. The seller notes the exterior was completely refinished under prior ownership following damage to the left front fender, and two small paint chips can be seen near the driver’s side headlamp. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing damage to the left front fender in 2023.
The cabin features Light Grey leather upholstery with matching carpets and Porsche script cloth seating surfaces. Accessories include a four-spoke steering wheel with a two-tone leather cover, black carpet floor mats, a black leather gear knob, a digital clock, a central locking system, power windows, air conditioning, cruise control, a turbo boost pressure gauge, and a Sony head unit with aftermarket speakers. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.
Factory-rated at 217 HP and 243 lb.-ft of torque, the turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four engine delivers power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. The engine has been modified with a mass airflow conversion kit, a Lindsey Racing exhaust system, an adjustable boost pressure valve, and a KLR engine chip. The seller notes a dyno test showed an output of 280 HP and 269 lb.-ft of torque with the upgrades installed. The suspension has also been fitted with Bilstein dampers. Since purchasing the car in June 2024, the seller oversaw a major service which included a new water pump, thermostat, timing belt, balance shaft belt, tensioners and rollers, accessory belts, cam housing and crankshaft seals, a new distributor cap and rotor, an oil pressure sender, motor mounts, and a new power steering reservoir and hoses. A brake fluid flush and oil change were performed as well.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, the original window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, a tire inflator, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This car is absolutely amazing. Pulls as hard as my 944 Turbo S. I am running out of garage space; two new toys are en route. You will not be disappointed.”

I would say the entire car was re-sprayed. The paint is too good to be 36 years old. You are correct two small scratches still exist on the headlight. The panel gaps on the car are within factory spec. The car has no signs of damage other than what hs been disclosed.

@porsdrvr95 - Thank you for offering your Porsche for sale. It looks to be a very nice car! In the prior damage photo, I can see two paint chips on the driver's headlight that look similar to the current ones. Aside from some possible overspray displayed in the pictures, are you sure the whole car was repainted, or was it generally limited to where the damage occurred? At 32k miles, I hope this car shows mostly original paint. Lovely color!

No Signs of harsh use or track time.
I am assume 5-6 owners from the car fax report. No track time between myself and the last owner. From the looks of this car it has been babied. So signs of harsh use. I have a receipt from March of 2009 showing a clutch. /Users/rtrac/Downloads/IMG_1677.HEIC

Any track time?
