Now offered for auction is this 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet finished in Grand Prix White over a Marine Blue leather interior. Highlighting factory optioned painted Fuchs wheels and a limited slip differential, this outstanding 930 has been under the diligent care of its original owner in Tennessee from new. This 1988 example is also one of only 591 U.S. Turbo Cabriolet's produced for the model year. Having recently been treated to an engine-out clutch service along with several other noteworthy maintenance items, this 930 Cabriolet is currently located in Idaho where it is being offered for auction on behalf of its lifelong owner with only 48k miles showing on the odometer.
The Grand Prix White finish is said to be in exceptional condition (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with recent paint meter readings). This 930 remains stock in appearance and the entire Blue cabriolet top was replaced in 2019 along with the motors and mechanical components. Factory Grand Prix White painted Fuchs wheels are retained and dressed in brand-new Pirelli P-Zero tires (Rear, 245x45 ZR 16 and Front, 205/55 ZR 16). Some imperfections in the finish on these wheels have been noted and the rear wheels also show some minor curb rash.
Inside, the Marine Blue leather interior is reported to be in excellent condition, showing only minor wear on the steering wheel. This 930 was factory optioned with electric height adjustable Sport Seats as well as a steering wheel with raised hub, an electric sunroof, air conditioning and power windows. An aftermarket radio is currently installed and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly.
This 930 is equipped with an air-cooled 3.3 L turbocharged flat-six engine which is rated at 282 HP stock. Power is transferred to the rear wheels by way of a 4-speed manual transmission with a factory optioned limited slip differential. An engine-out clutch service was performed within the last 10 miles in preparation for sale along with the following list of maintenance items:
With a complete tune-up and oil service recently performed, this 1-owner 930 is just waiting for its next caretaker.
The sale of this Turbo Cabriolet will include one key, partial service records from new, tools, a spare tire, jack, air pump and the original window sticker. Maintained by the same owner from new while having only been driven 48k miles, this rare and beautiful 930 Cabriolet represents a very special opportunity.

@chizchiz He stopped by without tools. It was looked at and doesn't appear to be an issue getting it aligned. It won't be done in the next hour but it will be done prior to pick up or shipping.
Able to get the hood realigned?

@chizchiz I just uploaded more photos. That is a very small spot that I overlooked. Good eye. The close-up photos will show that it's localized on the very corner. I took other close-ups under the doors, under the mirrors ext. No rust in those spots. The paint was scratched on the top of the driver entry point and those scratches has a minimal amount of surface rust as well. No other areas revealed any rust.
Can you post more close up pictures of any rust areas. There appears to be a pretty notable one on the back corner of the rear passenger quarter-panel where it meets the lights and trunk.
@JakeMacZ The upper corner on the driver's side also seems a bit high. The paint meter readings show 4.8 through 5.7. I'm having my body stop by and give it an adjustment.

Why does the lower edge of the front hood/frunk seem to be out of alignment?
@Jnasty We didn't do the shocks. They seem a little soft, it's something that we could have done but my tech didn't recommend it, so it never made our punch list. It drives out wonderfully right now but I can see the next owner putting that on a to-do list. I don't have the convertible boot. That is also something I could see the next owner wanting to find and install.
@SVAutoClub @SVAutoShep - any remaining needs / un-addressed issues aside from the wheel cosmetics?

Amazing car! Checks all the boxes. Hope it gets a new home!
Hi All, I'm honored to be representing this Turbo Cab. This Porsche was shipped in for us to sort out and find the new owner. It took a lot of time and effort to sort out and get to this point. A car of this stature deserves it. The next owner will certainly appreciate it! I'll be monitoring throughout the auction to answer any questions.
