Offered by Porsche as an exclusive factory option for the 930 Turbo, the Slant Nose or Flachbau specification includes distinctive bodywork inspired by the 935 race car. U.S. market Slant Nose cars were designated by option code M505, and only 609 were produced in total between 1987 and 1989. This 1988 example is one of only 112 Slant Nose Cabriolet versions produced for the U.S. market during the model year and is finished in Grand Prix White over a Lipstick Red leather interior. In addition to the $29,559 Slant Nose package, the car was factory-optioned with supple leather seats, adjustable lumbar support, an alarm system, an elevated steering wheel hub, a limited-slip differential, body-colored wheel centers, an electric cabriolet top, and a rear model designation delete. Cared for by the seller since 2017, this rare 930 Slant Nose Cabriolet is now being offered for auction once again on PCARMARKET out of California with under 39k miles showing on the odometer, accompanied by the original window sticker, a dealer-stamped maintenance booklet, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
The optional Slant Nose bodywork is comprised of flat louvered front fenders with pop-up headlamps, wider boxed rocker panels, and straked side air intakes on the rear fenders. This example is finished in Grand Prix White (L908) with a black power-operated convertible top and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels with optional body-colored centers. Other equipment includes a headlamp washer system, integrated front fog lights, a front chin spoiler, a rear tea tray spoiler, a double-tipped exhaust outlet, and a rear model designation delete. The seller indicates the paint is original and the car has been garage-kept beneath a car cover during their ownership. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Lipstick Red leather upholstery (HB) with a matching leather steering wheel, carpets, and deviated black seat piping. Equipment includes optional supple leather front seats with adjustable lumbar support, a four-spoke leather steering wheel with an elevated hub, air conditioning, automatic heater control, power windows and mirrors, an alarm system, a central locking system, and an aftermarket CD stereo. The original Blaupunkt cassette radio is included in the sale.
The turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 282 HP and 289 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. Service records are available dating back to 2017 along with an original maintenance booklet showing dealer service from new until 2015.

For what it's worth, you can convert microns to mils. Divide the micron readings by 25.4.
So for a micron measurement of 140ish, you're looking at a mil reading of about 5.5 or so.

@sbcarguy The setting of the meter was in Micrometers (μm) 140 not Millimeters.

@Axvel38 It cannot be .14mm. That means there is almost no paint on the car. Correct reading is 5mm to 7mm.

@sbcarguy I've replied to this answer already several times before, you are welcome to come and inspect it, if you will find that the car was painted you don't have to buy it. I'm telling everyone that the car has never had any paintwork, finally got the meter to read it and the readings are consistent across the board. Doesn't matter which setting the meter was set at.

@sbcarguy I borrowed a Paint Meter reader from a friend, the picture shows Measuring in UM whatever that setting means. Its consistent across the board.

I am willing to bid and potentially buy it however I am semi local and if it’s proven that the car has had paintwork I want my money back including the p car buyers premium.
Looks like the entire car was repainted at a certain point. 14mm thickness is way too high.

What setting do you have your paint meter gauge on?
There is no way it could be 14.9 mils etc for Original Paint...
It should read 4.0-6.0 at Best.

@Sunny Engine does have oil stain on the bottom, at this mileage I don't believe it needs any sort of reseal or case splitting, I did not hire the ice blasting for this reason to show originality. The car just needs to be driven, which I believe no-one will ever drive it. Looks more like an oil spill stain, not active leak or anything like that.

You don't see these hardly at all.... the interior and wheels make quite a statement.
Photo 123 shows on the right side of the case a lot of oil build up especially in contrast to the other side of the case....does this require an engine out reseal?
