Finished in Silver Metallic over a black interior, this 1988 Porsche 930 Turbo Coupe was originally sold by Niello Porsche of Concord, California, equipped with an optional limited-slip differential and full leather upholstery. It was purchased by the seller in October 2021 and has since been fitted with H4 headlamps, Euro-spec taillights, reupholstered black leather Sport Seats, a Porsche Classic radio, a WEVO short shifter, a cat-less B&B test pipe, and a blade-style fuse panel. The transmission was rebuilt, the A/C system was overhauled, and the original turbocharger was upgraded for increased performance. Accompanied by the original window sticker and service records dating back to 1994, this 911 Turbo is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
This 930 features Turbo-specific bodywork including wide fenders, a front chin spoiler, and a tea tray rear spoiler. It came factory-finished in Silver Metallic and is equipped with H4 headlamps, Euro-spec taillights, headlamp washers, integrated fog lights, a rear window wiper, black rear fender stone guards, and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels. New Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires were mounted about 2 years ago within the last 1,500 miles. The seller notes the passenger-side rocker panel was refinished to address a small dent and scrape under their ownership. Some minor chips and scratches are present around the exterior as well as a small impact mark on the lower driver’s side windshield. The original H5 headlamps are included in the sale. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin was originally appointed with two-tone black and grey Leather to Sample upholstery. Under the seller’s ownership, the grey pieces were replaced with black leather, and a pair of newly upholstered black leather Sport Seats were installed. Accessories include an older OEM three-spoke leather steering wheel and shift knob, power windows, an electric sliding sunroof, an aftermarket WEVO short shifter, air conditioning, automatic heating control, a central locking system, a dashboard-integrated boost gauge, Turbo-logo floor mats, and a modern Porsche Classic radio. The seller notes the original seats, steering wheel, and shift knob are included in the sale, and some discoloration is present on the driver’s floor mat. The clock has been rebuilt under current ownership and all gauges are said to be working properly.
A turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine delivers a factory-rated output of 282 HP and 289 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Under the seller’s ownership, the transmission was rebuilt and the turbocharger was overhauled and modified by Evergreen Turbo for increased performance. The catalytic converter was eliminated with a B&B exhaust test pipe and the fuse panel was converted to blade-type. The prior owner installed a new CDI+ ignition from Classic Retrofit, and the current owner installed a PartsKlassic coil. The owner also replaced all A/C components, wheel bearings, and the battery. An oil change was recently completed in preparation for the sale.
This sale will include an owner’s manual, the original window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, a car cover, the original seats, steering wheel, shift console, shifter, H5 headlamps, miscellaneous original parts, shop manuals, service records, and a clean title (lien).
The seller would like you to know: “Great car, nothing to think about, just get in and drive. These cars need to be driven and maintained, or things dry out and fail. All those things have been fully sorted with nothing left to be done. Car was always garaged, maintained as needed and kept on a battery tender. Driven almost exclusively early on weekends in nice weather and no traffic. All modifications were made to keep it looking OEM throughout, with a few small modern touches to improve the driving experience without taking away from the original. That said, everything is reversible and original parts are provided. Fantastic car and gets compliments every single time you drive it, without fail.”

Good morning to all Pcamarket participants! I just logged in again to check on this beautiful 930 and found comments regarding my offer for it.
I have no issues with the auction process nor with @PDXJOHN65 comentario, so no problem, apologies accepted, and I commend you for doing it.
I myself own another 911 a Grand Prix White ‘82 Euro SC which is pristine and I am totally in love with it! Even though I DO NOT know the Gentleman selling this 930, I will definitely bring him in my circle of friends if and when he sells me this car at my bid. I was pretty busy over the weekend and will be quite tied up the next days so I didn’t want my participation opportunity to slip away from me, this has happened before and perhaps the reason for my early strong bid. I strongly believe that my bid will not preclude anyone else who is a serious buyer like me to join the auction, but sincerely speaking, I will really be delighted if it does and I am able to get the car! ☺️☺️☺️☺️
Good luck with the auction and happy holidays to all!
@Coldbru I will work on that today but the parts include the original seats, steering wheel, shifter, boot, knob and center console pictured, the original Bosch CDI, original H5 headlights, the catalytic converter, car cover and engine bay cover, plus assorted OEM maintenance parts including spark plugs, air filter, and miscellaneous gaskets, seals, etc. I am also including a service manuals and a set of Rennline LED headlights that I installed briefly and replaced with H4 headlights because I preferred the OEM appearance.
@brass4321 can you please take a photo of any parts that will be included in the sale. You have the original seats and interior parts? Can you please list exactly what will come with the car? Thank you in
@bfeas99 that was a marina, not my driveway fortunately
Sorry, I would move after experiencing that drive way. Ouch, I was uncomfortable just watching the video. :(
This is going to exceed $88k easy. I have an 89 3.2 in silver as well. Just needs the snail and wide fenders. ;)
@pdxjohn65 no problem, judging by the early bids you probably weren’t alone in getting that mixed up
@brass4321 My bad. When I use the website navigation to show "no reserve" auctions, and then select "Porsche only", I'd expect that to filter no-reserves to just the Porsche auctions. I see now it shows all auctions:
https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/no-reserve/ - no "Porsche only" box checked.
https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/all/?make=porsche - with the box checked.
So I'm wrong, sorry to have questioned the bid. Sorry VetteFan! My bad.
@airpower only the 1989 model of 930 had the G50. The 1988 has a 4-speed, which is still great fun, particularly with the turbo modifications that make boost come on earlier than factory.
Is this a 5 speed? G-50?
@pdxjohn65 this is a Reserve auction. I don't know the person bidding. I just saw it as being cute with a price that matches the year and model knowing that bidding would almost certainly meet or exceed that price anyway.
@brass4321 Yeah. The value may be there. Why bid up $77K in one shot? If this was a Reserve auction, I see why. You test the reserve with a strong bid. This is a no reserve auction. No need to put your best foot forward here. My comment is on the bid's appropriateness. I'd agree this car, with mods, could easily be a $100K ++ car. I just don't see the logic of the bid. Seems like friend-of-seller bid to be sure he doesn't end up giving the car away by setting up a no reserve nightmare.

VetteFan - That's the oddest bid up I've ever seen. I'm not sure the bid is above the value of the car, but why bid up $77K in one shot? Seems like you're trying to engineer a No Reserve auction bid process. Seems fishy to me. Best of luck to all bidding and selling.
Bid in the amount of $88,930
@Signes I like the older version of the steering wheel better. Original is also included and shown in the new photos.

Nice example but a curious as to why the older steering wheel?

@rxm2 To my knowledge the car has not been painted. I don’t have any paint meter readings. I preferred the earlier 930 steering wheel and shifter which is why I changed them, but I am including the originals if the buyer doesn’t like my changes. I also wasn’t a fan of the two-tone interior and wanted sports seats, so I changed the seats and upholstered the gray bits in black. The original seats and steering wheel are perfectly fine, no issues with them. I will add some photos of the original interior. I can try to take some photos of the underside of the car but I don’t have a lift so it’s difficult. I can also add a cold start video over the weekend.
Hello, Very nice car. Has the car been painted? Do you have any paint meter readings?
Do you have any pictures of the undercarriage and the bottom of the engine?
Can you elaborate on changing the steering wheel and redoing the seats? What were the issues with the original seats and steering wheel?
Would you be able to post a cold start video?
Thanks
It was a California car originally and was there a long time. A lot of smog tests in the records. We just don't have emissions checks here in FL so I swapped in a B&B test pipe but it's an easy swap back to the catalytic converter and I'm sure it will pass California smog with no issues.
@brass4321 Good to know, appreciate the reply and information !
I really miss my 1987 930 Turbo !
California buyers will benefit from understanding the cat info
Handsome Porsche !!
@sportscarguy3 The catalytic converter was removed but is included and can easily be reinstalled.
Very handsome Porsche 930 !
Nice modifications also and the interior looks very well done
Nothing like the sound of an air cooled Porsche 930
Unfortunately with the catalytic converters deleted this handsome Porsche would not pass California Smog
I don’t believe
Certainly should do well and look forward to the auction
Good luck all

@Theweaponx the vehicle is in Miami, FL. The prior owner was in Texas.
Hello,
The listing states that the vehicle is in Florida, but it also says it's being auctioned out of Texas. What is the correct location?
Thank you
