Beginning with a 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa featuring a desirable G50 manual gearbox, this 911 has undergone a custom backdate restoration by its seller over the past three years including a long-hood nose conversion, widened rear fenders, LED lighting, a new custom exhaust, and a Burgundy leather interior with Sport Seats and RS-style door panels. Having been driven less than 500 miles since the project’s completion, this one-of-a-kind Targa is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
During the restoration, the car was completely stripped and modified with a classic long-hood nose section including a lightweight fiberglass hood and a 911S-style front bumper, widened rear fenders, and a fiberglass RS-style rear bumper with dual center-mounted tailpipes. The car was refinished in its original White paint color and features a custom twin-grille decklid, exposed torsion bar covers and oil lines, new LED projector headlights, chrome bullet-style mirrors, a custom red Targa top, bronze RS-style graphics, and new 8”x9” Fuchs wheels measuring 16” in diameter. The wheels are finished in a custom bronze color and come dressed in new Toyo Proxes tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with photos from the build process and a CARFAX report showing front-end damage incurred prior to the restoration.
Inside, the Burgundy interior features a pair of freshly reupholstered leather Sport Seats along with new matching carpets and leather RS-style door panels. Accessories include a wood 917-style shift knob, a three-spoke MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, heated and eclectically operated seats, power windows, air conditioning, and a vintage Blaupunkt radio. All gauges and accessories are said to remain fully functional.
An air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 217 HP to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox. The motor has been paired with a custom exhaust system and new catalytic converters. The seller states a full service was completed as part of the car’s restoration including new fluids and spark plugs.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “We spent over 400 hours doing the bodywork, backdating, and making this car as it is today. Runs and drives well. All body panel work was done in metal.”

Beautiful car! The previous listing says the air conditioner parts have been removed, but it’s not mentioned in this listing. Has the air-conditioning system been added back to the car since the previous listing?
