This 1988 Porsche 930 Turbo is one of only 229 Cabriolets produced with optional Slant Nose or Flachbau bodywork for the U.S. market. It comes finished in Guards Red over Champagne special leather upholstery and equipped with a limited-slip differential, heated seats, adjustable lumbar support, velour trunk carpeting, a Blaupunkt stereo, an alarm system, and body-colored 16” Fuchs wheels. Preserved with under 3k miles showing on the odometer, this rare 930 Turbo Cabriolet Slant Nose is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
Inspired by the 935 race car, the Slant Nose bodywork was offered as a $23k factory option designated by internal production code M505 for U.S. market cars. It includes flat louvered fenders, pop-up headlamps, boxed side skirts, and straked side air intakes. This example is finished in Guards Red with a power-operated black convertible top and body-colored 16” Fuchs wheels. Other equipment includes a front chin spoiler, integrated front fog lights, headlamp washers, power mirrors, a dual-tipped exhaust outlet, and a tea tray rear spoiler. The seller indicates the car’s original paint remains in excellent overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is lined with black carpeting and features Champagne special leather upholstery covering the seats, steering wheel, center console, and door panels. Accessories include optional heated power-operated seats with lumbar support, an elevated steering wheel hub, air conditioning, a central locking system, an alarm system, and a Blaupunkt Reno SQR 46 cassette stereo.
This 930 is equipped with a turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six engine that delivers up to 282 HP and 289 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. The seller indicates service records show routine maintenance including oil changes and several gaskets and seals that were replaced about 10 years ago. The CARFAX report shows a service was completed at Porsche Beverly Hills in 2024 including an oil change, brake fluid flush, and maintenance inspection.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.

Confirmed we have the original books and tool kit! Along with the original Porsche tire compressor
Yes we have the convertible boot, our photographer just didn’t put it on when he photographed the car. I’m 99% sure we have all the original books and original tool kit as well. I am away from the car at this very moment to confirm myself for you but our collection manager is headed to the garage now as I type this to confirm the tool kit and books are there to be 100% certain for you. Hope this helps and I will update as soon as he calls back on this!
Do you have the convertible boot, and all the original books and tool kit?

Wow! Even though I’m not bidding, I’m getting excited.
Years ago, (when I was a younger man) I saw these wonderful slant-nose 911s running around So. California. Now, I’m getting that same feeling, just like in the mid-70’s when I first saw one of the very first 930s blasting by my little Toyota. Such a nice slice of history.

All factory vin stickers are present on the vehicle and the undercarriage is in excellent condition. This is a #1 concours grade example in spectacular original condition from factory. This 2,700 mile factory Slantnose 930 is the real deal! Also keep in mind, the Beverly Hills Porsche dealership recently performed a huge service on the car - please see the $8k invoice from summer of 2024. We have a folder of documentation for this car included in the sale. This time capsule 930 needs nothing!
Beautiful car! Had one exactly like it!. Although it is a 2700 mile car it would have been nice to have some undercarriage photos showing factory stickers and documenting condition. There are also stickers under it the front and rear deck lids that document the correct numbers for a car of this value.
Good luck with the auction!
This is shaping up to be an epic last minute blitz. I’m imagining the big dogs rubbing their hands together, stretching their fingers and popping their knuckles as the hours count down.
Good Luck to All Bidders, and to Seller. This is a good one to watch.
Less than 24 hours to go for this spectacular 930 Slantnose! I will be here throughout duration of auction to assist bidders with any last minute questions. Best of luck to all!

Wow, talk about clean and un-molested! Any chance you’re putting the lawn statues up for auction next? Wild-E peaked my interest.
