Beginning with a 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera, this example has undergone an extensive backdate restoration while retaining its original 3.2-liter flat-six engine and desirable G50 5-speed manual transmission. This example has been refinished in its original Guards Red and features a classic long-hood conversion by TRE Motorsports with steel fenders, revised bumpers, louvered Lexan rear quarter windows, and 15” Fuchs wheels. The lightweight interior includes RS-style door panels, Rennline hardware, a MOMO steering wheel, a center console deletion, and VintageSeats R-model seats with houndstooth inserts. Performance upgrades include a Steve Wong-tuned ECU, SSI heat exchangers, an M&K stainless steel muffler, Elephant Racing suspension components, and more. Showing just over 56k miles on the odometer, this custom Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Tennessee.
Refinished in its factory-specified shade of Guards Red, this 911 was commissioned to TRE Motorsports in July 2020, where no expense was spared in executing the iconic long-hood conversion. The build includes an OEM steel hood, steel front fenders, a welded-in early hood latch panel for proper OEM-style hood release, fiberglass front and rear lower bumpers, custom rear torsion bar covers, and shaved door mirrors. Additional exterior details include H4 headlights, louvered Lexan rear quarter windows, complete early-style turn signal assemblies with seals, lenses, bulbs, wiring pigtails, and fasteners, horn grilles, and an early-style “PORSCHE” decklid decal with matching side stripes. The car rides on 15” Fuchs wheels measuring 15x7” in front and 15x8” in the rear, mounted with Toyo Proxes R888R tires from 2021 and secured with extended studs and titanium lug nuts. Minor signs of road-going use are noted, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin has been stripped for lightweight, incorporating VintageSeats R-style bucket seats with houndstooth centers, RS-style door cards with red door pulls and Rennline hardware, RS-style carpeting, and the removal of the center console, air conditioning, stereo, and rear seating. Other equipment includes a MOMO steering wheel with a custom horn button, a custom shift knob, a fire extinguisher, Rennline pedals and floorboards, and a factory sunroof.
Power comes from an air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six, driving the rear wheels through a G50 5-speed manual gearbox. Performance modifications include Steve Wong tuning, WEVO classic shifter with PSJ shift linkage coupling, SSI heat exchangers with backdated heat, M&K 2-in-2-out sport muffler, and fully restored and upgraded suspension from Elephant Racing. The seller highlights matching engine (#64J01276) and transmission (#1J01529) numbers, and states all major, minor, and annual services have been performed at the recommended times with accompanying documentation provided in the gallery.
This sale will include a clean title, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, service records, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a spare tire.

No, I “donated” those parts to TRE and they were utilized for other cars.
There are some extra parts I will be including such as an extra deck grill (same one as pictured but new in the box).
I also have an extra set of rear lexan windows I’d be willing to include for a small charge if the winner would like a fresh set.
Hi Paul, this is a beautiful car. Do you still have any of the original parts - hood, fenders, seats, rocker panels etc? If so, do they come with the car? I have no intention of bringing it back to stock, but it would be nice to keep all of the original parts together.

Due to the number of similar questions/requests, I thought it may be best to add the following in the comments:
I have uploaded the most recent service documentation. All maintenance and service is up to date and nothing should need to be addressed until next scheduled maintenance (03/2026).
There are roughly 100 pages of documents related to service under prior ownership that will be included. To the best of my knowledge I’m the third owner of this 911 and the vehicle was completely stock/original when I purchased it. All modifications have occurred under my ownership.
The 56k miles are original.
Guards Red is the original color.
CoA is included along with the application for the CoA from the prior owner.
