Offered in 1988 to celebrate 25 years of the Porsche 911 as well as the 250,000th model produced, the Carrera Commemorative Edition features special Diamond Blue Metallic paint and leather, as well as painted Fuchs wheels, front and rear spoilers, and signatures of Dr. Ferdinand Porsche embroidered on the headrests. This example is one of just 875 produced in total and was originally delivered to Ontario, Canada, before making its way to the United States in the early 2010s. Accompanied by service records, the original owner’s books, and a numbers matching Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this rare 911 Carrera Commemorative Edition is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida showing just over 53k miles on the odometer.
The 25th anniversary Carrera features a unique Diamond Blue Metallic (F5) paint color along with front and rear spoilers, a rear model designation delete, and matching wheel centers. The brake calipers have been painted red and the factory 15” Fuchs wheels come dressed in Bridgestone tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features special matching blue leather upholstery with silver-blue silk velour carpeting and supple leather seats with “F.Porsche” signatures embroidered on the headrests. The Commemorative Edition also receives a specialized dash badge and short-throw gear shift lever. Other equipment includes a raised steering wheel hub, cruise control, alarm system, sliding sunroof, custom Coco floor mats, and a newer Porsche CR-220 radio paired with upgraded JL speakers. All instruments and accessories remain fully functional, and some minor discoloration is noted on the passenger door panel. The odometer was converted from kilometers (85,388) to miles (53,011) on May 8th, 2014, and supporting documentation is available for reference.
The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox paired with an air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine producing up to 217 HP. The stamped drivetrain numbers correspond with those listed on the Porsche COA and the seller has provided a collection of service records available for reference in the gallery. Recent maintenance includes new rear brakes and hood struts in 2020 as well as the installation of a new battery, Bilstein shock absorbers, and strut inserts in 2022.
This sale will include a clean title, a set of two keys, owner's manuals, service records, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

I am fortunate to have seen the car in person. Having purchased many many pre-owned 911's of every generation, this is what I call an uncompromisingly maintained, honest example that is in superb mechanical and material condition.
It is a spectacular piece of very useable, limited art that will be blast to drive and/or collect.
Additionally, even these high quality pictures don't compare to seeing this subtle colour in person....nothing quite like it. All best to new owner...

@kbadger404 Good morning, all of the documents were given to PCar, including pictures. We will ask them to please post them.
As to mileage both of the last two owners never drove the car. The first a collector and seller of Porsche race cars bought and left it in my showroom. I convinced him to sell it to the second owner who thought we wanted to drive it, but then changed his mind because he was afraid it would get damaged.
Hope this helps

Hi. Can you please explain what documentation is available for the kilometer to miles conversion in 2014 @ 53k miles? Is there an explanation for hardly any miles driven since then? Thanks

I own a Targa CE only 300 sent to the US . There were 120 coupes 80 Targas and 100 Cabs . The interior is all full leather everything is slathered in leather. Short shifter from Club Sport and other features made it unique. An outstanding example.
@jlsiegel New tires were put on in February of this year
There are no leaks
AC blows cold serviced in 5/2020
Oil was changed in 5/2020. The car has roughly 300 miles since oil service
Clutch appears to be original, but there is no issue
Hope this helps
I’ll make sure all recent service records are posted
