Now available for auction is this 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet finished in Silver Metallic over a black interior. A well-represented driver-grade example staying true to its factory appearance, this 1988 Carrera features an air-cooled 3.2L flat-six engine paired with a desirable G50 5-speed manual transmission. With a major engine-out service and reseal carried out in the last two years along with some other notable maintenance items, this Carrera Cabriolet is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York while showing just over 76k miles on the odometer.
This 911 is finished in Silver Metallic with a black soft top, and the seller reports the rear decklid to have been likely refinished at some point during previous ownership. The cabriolet top shows signs of wear and a small touched-up chip is noted on the front hood, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report. Exterior features include U.S. market bumperettes, front fog lights, and factory 16” Fuchs wheels which were refinished and dressed in new Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires in 2019.
Inside, this 911 features a well-preserved black partial leather interior with factory features including climate control, electrically adjustable seats, power windows and door locks, cruise control, a steering wheel with a raised hub, and a short-throw shifter. Upgraded speakers have been installed along with an aftermarket alarm system and an Alpine radio. The tachometer was repaired during a major service in 2019, and the A/C system was checked and recharged with R134a more recently in 2020.
This Carrera is equipped with an air-cooled 3.2L flat-six engine paired with a desirable G50 5-speed manual transmission that sends as much as 217 HP to the rear wheels. An invoice from 2019 shows a major engine-out service to have been carried out including all new seals and gaskets, oil lines, hoses, ignition components, and a valve adjustment. A new axle bootkit was also installed during this time along with a brake fluid flush, new rear brake hoses, rear sway bar bushings, and a four-wheel alignment. More recent service in 2020 included an oil and filter change, a new alternator, and drive belts. Recent service invoices are provided for reference in the photo gallery along with images of the underside.
This sale will include a clean title and recent service invoices. The well-sorted Carrera Cabriolet is just waiting to be driven and enjoyed, do not miss your chance to get behind the wheel.
