Representing the most powerful R107 SL-Class roadster sold in the U.S. during its production run, this 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in Smoke Silver Metallic over a Cream Beige leather interior, it comes equipped with a dark brown soft top, a removable body-color hardtop, 15” Gullideckel alloy wheels, power accessories, automatic climate control, a Becker AM/FM cassette stereo, and more. Showing approximately 45k miles on the odometer, this 560SL is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.

This example is finished in Smoke Silver Metallic (702) and features a dark brown soft top and a removable body-color hardtop. Exterior details include quad headlamps, fog lights, chrome accents on the bumpers, trim, and side mirrors. It rides on silver-finished 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels wrapped in Goodyear Regatta Touring tires. The seller notes the hood and factory hardtop were repainted to address cosmetic transport damage. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in Cream Beige leather (275) along with matching door panels, trim, and carpeting. Amenities include a four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, cruise control, central locking, electric windows and mirrors, and a Becker Grand Prix AM/FM cassette stereo. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order with no warning lights illuminated.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated and fuel-injected 5.6-liter M117 V8 SOHC engine, which delivers a factory-rated 227 HP and 279 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. It has power steering, a fully independent suspension, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. The suspension setup features double wishbones up front, a diagonal swing axle in the rear, and stabilizer bars to the front and rear. Recent service in February 2025 included an oil change and vacuum system repairs.

This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, a car cover, a hardtop stand, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “This SL is as nice as it gets. New owner will not be disappointed.”

@Wcstark1 - Thanks. The car is gorgeous,
looks like jewelery in my warehouse.

I had mt Benz specialist go over the entire car when I got it. He took care of all its need (wasn't much). The invoice is in the gallery. I don't have any prior service records.

Beautiful 560 SL, do you have any past service records? oil pan gasket replacement, transmission service, spark plugs, shocks replacement, has the AC system been updated to R134a? etc etc? I noticed very short term ownership, any reason? Thank you
