Available for auction is this 1988 Ford F-350 XLT Lariat finished in two-tone Bright Regatta Blue Metallic and Colonial White over a Regatta Blue cloth interior. Representing the eighth generation of the Ford F-Series, the F-350 was offered as a full-ton pickup available in several different configurations. This one-owner 1988 example comes equipped with the premium XLT-Lariat trim package along with a 7.3L V8 diesel engine. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Oregon showing just under 78k miles on the odometer.
The eighth generation F-series was introduced for the 1987 model year featuring a heavily revised design including numerous restyled body panels and an all-new front fascia. This long-bed F-350 is finished in two-tone Bright Regatta Blue Metallic over Colonial White and features a chrome grille and headlight trim as part of the XLT Lariat trim package. Equipment includes a tow hitch receiver, swing-out mirrors, a sliding rear window, and brushed aluminum tailgate trim. It rides on a set of 16” wheels dressed in BF Goodrich K02 tires. Detailed images can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The crew cab of this F-350 features two rows of bench seats upholstered in Regatta Blue cloth. Amenities include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, power windows and door locks, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and air conditioning. The seller confirms that all gauges and accessories remain functional.
Power comes from a 7.3L diesel V8 engine that drives the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed ZF S5-42 automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The F-350 uses a mono-beam Dana 60 front axle, power steering and brakes, leaf spring suspension, and manual locking hubs. The seller reports there are currently no outstanding service items.
This sale will include a clean title.

@redlodge This is great example of the IDI, being a crew cab 4x4 it's the only one out there currently. GLWA.
Thank you Rick. Another question. In pic #64 I noticed rust below the passenger rail rail. Can you tell me if this rust is into the metal, and if there are other areas of rust on the roof or body panels? Thanks again!
Customer told me there was never a fifth wheel hitch installed bedliner was basically installed the day he bought it it also had a steel camper shell but I got rid of it all original paint except the hood I have Professionally redone
Hi Rick, a few questions: do you know if the truck has or had a fifth wheel attachment? have you looked under the bed liner to see the condition of the bed floor? Is there evidence of any paint work to the body panels? Thank you!

Oh by the way that’s how Carfax works if you take it into like a Jiffy Lube the service provider types it in the computer that’s worth Carfax customer information you can ask any dealership Carfax is known to do a lot of mistakes like this
So the best answer I can give you is sometimes when mechanics press the keyboard probably hit the eight instead of the seven because if you think about it the seven and eight keys are right beside each other Alice has dealers run into this problem quite often we call it fat fingers but overall the condition of this truck interior wise makes me believe that the miles did not go over but being that it’s an over 30 year old truck? We can’t guarantee anything but the trucks interior is all original and the odometer cluster sometimes just doesn’t line up and if you look carefully the number three also doesn’t line up correctly
Hello,
QUESTION:
Looking at the Carfax, it shows that on 8/27/2016 the miles were 78,695, in your photos, it now has 77,533 and the number 5 is misaligned compared to the other digits. Could you please explain?
