Representing BMW’s original M3 sports car, this 1988 BMW E30 M3 is finished in Alpine White over a Cardinal Red interior and is powered by a 2.3-liter S14 inline-four engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. It was purchased by the current owner about a year ago and has been fitted with new KW coilovers, ST sway bars, a Supersprint exhaust system, an Evolution airbox, and 18” BBS-style wheels. Under current ownership, it has been serviced with new intake manifold and throttle body seals, spark plugs, shift bushings, a valve adjustment, and more. This classic BMW is now being offered for auction out of Utah with under 109k miles showing on the odometer.

Sharing only its hood and roof panels with the standard E30 3-Series, the M3 is distinguished by its model-specific bumpers and rockers, boxed fender flares, and fixed rear wing. This example is finished in Alpine White and rides on 18” BBS-style wheels with a set of Yokohama Advan tires mounted 2 years ago within the last 600 miles. The car is accompanied by the original 16”x8” BMW BBS wheels with 4-year-old tires. Other features include body-colored mirrors, an M3 grille badge, quad headlamps, integrated front fog lights, and dual Supersprint exhaust pipes. The seller notes the windshield has been replaced, light scratches can be seen on some of the glass, and a small ding is present on the passenger-side door. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Cardinal Red interior features reupholstered front seats, grey carpeting, a three-spoke M-Tech I steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, an onboard computer, an aftermarket Continental Bluetooth stereo, air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows, mirrors, and door locks. The seller states the original headliner remains in good condition and the brake system warning light appears on the dashboard intermittently. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional including the air conditioning.

Factory-rated at 192 HP and 170 lb.-ft of torque, the 2.3-liter DOHC inline-four-cylinder S14 engine sends power to the rear wheels through a Getrag 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller notes a new Supersprint header-back exhaust system has been installed along with an Evolution airbox, KW coilovers, and ST sway bars. The stock exhaust, intake, and suspension components are included in the sale. Since the seller’s purchase, the car has been serviced with new intake manifold and throttle body seals, a valve adjustment, new spark plugs, front wheel bearings, shifter bushings, a shift rod bracket and coupler, a transmission selector rod, an oil change, and a new fuel filter.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a car cover, a clean title, and the original wheels, exhaust, intake, and suspension components.

The seller would like you to know:  "Thanks for visiting my auction I purchased this beautiful M3 a year ago with intentions to keep it for a while it's always been kept in a climate-controlled garage and covered. A lot of work has been done in the last year so the car was reliable and road-worthy to drive BMW events and car shows."
