The BMW E30 Touring was introduced as a unique version of the E30 3 Series, developed by BMW engineer Max Reisböck to combine the dynamics of a sedan with the versatility of a wagon. This German-market 1988 BMW 325i Touring comes finished in silver over a black leather interior and features a 2.5-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Other equipment includes aftermarket 15” MIM 1900-style wheels, front sport seats, air conditioning, and more. This E30 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California showing approximately 291k kilometers or 181k miles on the odometer.
Factory specified in Salmon Silver, this non-sunroof 325i is said to have been refinished in its current shade of silver under the prior ownership. Equipment includes black kidney grilles, quad headlights, fog lights, a front lip spoiler, a rear window wiper, and dual exhaust outlets. It rides on aftermarket 15” MIM 1900-style wheels wrapped in Nexen Nblue HD Plus tires from 2019, and the seller reports a crack on the driver’s side rocker panel, chipping on the windshield, and some other cosmetic imperfections around the exterior. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is upholstered in black leather and is equipped with front sport seats and wood trim accenting the shifter and handbrake, along with a four-spoke steering wheel. Amenities include an onboard computer, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, air conditioning, as well as power windows and locks. The seller notes that the windshield washer fluid level sensor is inoperable, the headliner is sagging, wear is visible on the driver’s seat, and an Alpine stereo was added under prior ownership.
Powered by a 2.5-liter M20B25 inline-six, the 325i Touring sends up to 168 HP and 164 lb.-ft. of torque to its rear wheels by way of a 4-speed automatic transmission. The seller reports that the engine was rebuilt around 2013 at approximately 277k km. Additional recent maintenance includes a tune-up, refreshed fluids, along with the replacement of the battery, timing belt, and water pump in 2021.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a spare tire, a car cover, and a clean California registration & title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my E30 Touring auction… This sure is a very reliable and safe cruiser.. there are no shakes or vibrations. It starts right up.”
