In continuous production since 1951, the Toyota Land Cruiser is established as one of the world’s most popular full-size utility vehicles. This 1987 FJ60 is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six engine, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, and has been refinished in metallic beige and metallic brown over a brown interior. Presenting in mostly stock condition, this example features 15” wheels, manually locking front hubs, a horizontally split tailgate, air conditioning, and more. This Land Cruiser has been meticulously maintained and is now being offered by its seller out of Louisiana showing less than 161k miles on the odometer.
Originally finished in white, this FJ60 was refinished in a metallic beige/ brown combination in 2001, and equipment includes headlight washers, a horizontally split tailgate, and a rear wiper. This Land Cruiser rides on factory 15” wheels wrapped in Uniroyal Laredo tires showing date codes from 2009 and 2012. The seller notes some chips, scratches, and paint blemishes around the exterior, as well as weathered exterior trim, a cracked driver’s side front side reflector, and some corrosion on the wheel hubs, engine bay, and underbody components. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin presents brown cloth upholstery as well as adjustable seats with stripe-patterned cloth, a 3-spoke steering wheel with a tilting column, air conditioning, a heater for the rear of the cabin, and manually operated windows. An aftermarket dashboard cap, headliner, JVC head unit, and cargo area mount for a spare tire have reportedly been added. The seller notes wear and tear on the driver’s seat, discoloration on the passenger seat and floor mats, wear on some touchpoints, including the steering wheel rim, a faded center console lid, and worn carpets. All gauges and electronics are said to be functioning as intended.
Powered by a 4.2-liter 2F inline-6 engine, the Land Cruiser sends up to 135 HP and 200 lb.-ft. of torque to all four wheels by way of a 4-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes manually locking front hubs, which are said to be corroding, and a leaf spring suspension. Extensive recent service reported includes:
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, 3 keys, a set of floor mats, a spare tire, a toolkit, a slip-on steering wheel cover, some documentation, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a great driving Land Cruiser with a rare manual transmission. This was a complete repaint from white back in 2001. Recent service was performed.”

As the auction winds down I just want to say thank as to for the interest in this cruiser.
The recent maintenance records are posted in the documents.
Regards
Please see date and miles regarding the maintenance. Thank you!
@greengabe It might be that the oil/filter were changed by time rather than mileage, or because of driving off-road, or because there's an underlying problem -- CarFax (2005) shows it was in a county that flooded at the time (but NOT that the vehicle itself was flood-damaged.
Hey there - is something wrong on the filter or reservoir?
Why was it changed so much?
"showing less than 161K" - does this imply that it rolled over, or just that it might have been disconnected sometime during it's lifetime.
I’ve seen this car in person and driven it. Great example. No room in my barn for it now but wanted to express that anyone interested should bid with confidence. Excellent seller.
