With its front-engine coupe configuration, distinctive pop-up headlights, and glass rear hatch, the 944 model remains one of the most iconic sports cars of the 1980s. Equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, this 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo was factory optioned in Alpine White over a Black partial leather interior. It is now being offered for auction at no reserve by its seller out of New York showing approximately 116k miles on the odometer.
As a Turbo model, this 944 is distinguishable by its aerodynamically improved nose with integrated front fog lights as well as its body-colored diffuser located below the rear bumper. Factory optioned in Alpine White, this 944 rides on 17” 993 Cup 2 wheels which have been powder-coated and dressed in Fuzion ZRI wheels. Minor paint imperfections are noted along with some areas that seem to have undergone paintwork. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this 944 features a well-presented Black partial leather interior. Equipment includes air conditioning, power-adjustable seats, and a sunroof. This 944 is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine which sends 220 HP stock to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. A Koni adjustable suspension is installed along with Weltmeister lowering springs. The seller adds that a recent service was carried out at a cost of approximately $4k.

Wheels are plasti-dipped actually, apologies. if you dont like it the buyer can simply hit them with a power washer

@Chicagospeed996 I can not speak on the cracking under the passenger door sill as that was painted and repaired before my ownership, It never bothered me much as it is low on the car.
@Chicagospeed996 It does full boost The camera angle did not capture the gauge very well. as far as any work that was done previous I have no knowledge of it or any records of body work done.
Thank you for the previous answer. I see you said the boost gauge works, but what bar does it get to for full boost? Does it boost fully?
Also there is some, for lack of better words, inexperienced body work and bondo on the passenger side door sill. The photos show cracking and the bondo patch over the stock Jack point locator dimple. Any comments to that work?
Iam not aware of if there was an accident in its life time, or simply resprayed because of minor damage , but the body is straight and no damage to the frame rail

@IAS as far as the timing belt, I believe that was in the major service I did in California. He had to basically take engine apart to get to it. I did an oil change annd full tune up and mechanic said brakes had life in them. As far as body work I’m not sure. Rims same thing they were on the vehicle.

So at the very least no timing belt, water pump, etc anything these cars usually get since your ownership, ie last 2 years,, oil change, brakes, tires,etc. anything at all? so assume it needs them I guess. Second look also shows bolts are turned and paint missing on the right fender, same side as the door that’s painted, have to assume unreported accident. Would love to see the frame rail in that side since there are no records. Also are those real 993 wheels or knock off?

@IAS I’m not aware of any of repaint I bought the car two years ago had it in a garage previous owner did not explain any body work or paint job
Hi matt. So it looks like hood, headlights, maybe front cowl are mismatched on paint. I can also see over spray on the rubber in the right door. Care to expand on this? Says in your description there’s “some areas have undergone paintwork” care to disclose which areas? Nobody paints for fun; clearly some undisclosed damage here. Also can we safely say no service since 2014 given your provided records?

I don’t see LSD (220) on the options sticker, has the transmission been replaced or does it not have LSD? Also could you post photos of the maintenance records you have? Thanks.
@Davearm127 I have a folder of maintence from previous owner the major maintence I did was a place called auto haus in Healdsburg the owner died I have no records
