We are pleased to present this 1987 Porsche 944 S finished in Guards Red over a Black leather interior. Equipped with a desirable 5-speed manual transmission and a 16-valve 2.5 L engine, this low mileage example underwent a recent service and multipoint inspection. Remaining in excellent condition, this 944 makes the perfect addition for any Porsche enthusiast and is being offered by its seller out of Florida with just 45k miles on the odometer.
The Guards Red exterior finish is said to be in excellent condition. The seller indicates that this car seems to have always been properly cared for throughout its life. Noteworthy features include distinctive pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights and factory Alloy Phone Dial wheels which come dressed in BF Goodrich tires.
Inside, you will find an extremely well-kept all-original black leather interior. This 944 comes factory equipped with power adjustable seats, power windows and power mirrors. The cabin retains its factory specifications and the seller confirms all gauges, electrical components and accessories to be fully functional with the exception of the air conditioning.
Powering this 944 is a 16-valve DOHC 2.5L inline 4-cylinder engine that sends 190HP to the rear wheels via a desirable 5-speed manual transmission. This front-mounted engine setup allows for an almost perfectly balanced car. Having been kept up-to-date on all due maintenance with the timing belt reportedly replaced at approximately 30k miles, a recent service was performed in April of 2019 which included all fluids and filters changed along with a multi-point inspection. It is stated that the vehicle is in excellent running condition supported by service records showing proper maintenance.
The sale of this unique example will include a set of keys, original books, tools, a car cover and detailed service records. A rare find, this low mileage 944 is sure to satisfy even the most discerning Porsche enthusiast.

I would say getting close to market correct. Do a timing belt, water pump, etc service right away, put some new tires on and you’re good to go!

Any dash cracks?
Perhaps you could just list the option codes? They're pretty easy to decipher.

@Skindoc im not sure the exact date of the timing belt change but i assume it was around then. the tires are from 2005 no dry rot whatsoever. the emblem is not covering any holes. i do have a pic of the options code list but it not letting me post it. i can send it to your email if youd like. thanks
Hi, a few questions:
Timing belt was reportedly changed @ 30k miles, so was that in 2002 (CarFax mileage entry)?
Date code on tires?
Is the "944" emblem on the front bumper covering any damage or holes?
Do you have a picture of the factory option code list? Usually in this series it is in the hatch area behind the carpet and in front of tail lights.
Thanks

@PheasantRun I would assume a new compressor or convert it to an r35 system. Not sure on what that would cost though
What would it take to get the a/c running properly?
@Porsche911 the A/C has not worked since I bought the car. I’ve had the A/C recharged with r12 but that did not fix the problem, so I’m assuming it needs a new compressor.
I have a question about the A/C because of the heat in Middle GA. What is necessary to repair it?
Thanks
