Up for auction is this 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe finished in Black. Built as a PCA track car by a previous owner some years ago, this 930 features numerous upgrades including Slant Nose intakes and rockers, an adjustable rear wing, 3.4L engine rebuild, Kokeln turbocharger and intercooler, Bilstein suspension, racing seats, harnesses, a roll cage and more. Converted for street use and now showing approximately 71k miles on the odometer, this generously upgraded Turbo is being offered by its owner out of Minnesota.
The exterior comes finished in Black with added Slant Nose style rear intakes and boxed rocker extensions along with an adjustable 993 RS-style wing made from carbon fiber. The 17” Fuchs-style three-piece wheels are paired with extended studs and Nitto Motivo tires from 2017.
The original grey leather interior has been outfitted with black carpets, black leather GT3-style racing seats, Schroth safety harnesses, RS door panels, and a custom roll cage with Longacre padding and a driver’s window net. Other accessories include a 17” Longacre rearview mirror, white instrument dials, an FMS Inc. air-to-fuel ratio gauge, and Rennline aluminum floorboards and dash paneling.
The air-cooled flat-six turbocharged engine was reportedly rebuilt to 3.4L specifications in April of 2005 at 65k miles including new pistons and cylinders, bearings, valve guides, rockers, timing chain and rails, 964 grind camshafts, and much more. It has also been fitted with an upgraded Kokeln turbocharged and intercooler, Fabspeed drip accumulator, Zork Tube muffler bypass, Perma Tune CDI ignition, and a K&N air filter. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential, both of which were rebuilt in 2006 at 68k miles. The clutch is also said to have been replaced in 2005. Suspension upgrades include TRG Bilstein RSR dampers, Hypercoil helper, TRG spring plates, and adjustable sway bars.
This sale will include a clean title.

@MountainGuy - No doubt. I would love to drive and wrench on one of these air cooled 911’s someday… someday.
I really wish there had been a current and more exuberant driving video of this car. At 500 hp it ought to be a real monster.. too bad the video didn’t show its teeth

considering this vehicle hasn't been driven much recently, when was the last time this vehicle was actually driven more than a mile or two?
@redgard Yes the car has been in climate controlled storage since then and these videos do represent the current condition of the vehicle. If the weather was cooperative I would have taken it out for more pictures, unfortunately we woke up to light snow again this morning.
I noticed on the youtube video that it was posted two years ago along with two driving videos of this 930. Are these still good current representations? Has the car just been parked since then?

Cmon, lets get the bidding going on this one... lots to love about this car, street or track!
@redgard I have records on the car going back to 2003 and I do not see the the torsion bars have been removed. I would assume the are stock 26mm. As far as the conversion back to street, the interior was installed with [non period correct factory GT3 seats] RS door cards and rear carpet kit. Reset up the corner balance and alignment for a more street friendly set up. Boost was dropped down to .8 bar. The car comes with all the factory interior, HVAC and rear deck lid.
is the suspension on this car still set up with torsion bars? if so do you know what size they are?
also do you know what specifically was done to convert it back to a street car?
As best as the guy who tuned it remembers .8 bar right around 500hp and 1.0 bar is 550 to 575hp. currently it is set at .8 bar .
How much power is this thing pushing with the rebuilt 3.4L? Beautiful car btw, I'm a sucker for built 930's.
