This 1987 Porsche 930 Turbo has been comprehensively restored and upgraded over the past seven years, including an increase in displacement to 3.4 liters, the addition of a twin-plug ignition system, a K27 turbocharger, enhanced cooling components, a B&B Performance exhaust, MCS adjustable suspension dampers, and more. Recently refinished in black, it retains its factory-specified Green/Grey leather upholstery, electric sliding sunroof, and limited-slip differential. Now showing approximately 157k miles on the odometer, this 930 is being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey.

This 911 Turbo was ordered in Black (A1) and has undergone a recent bare-metal, glass-out refinish. Features include wide fenders, a front chin spoiler, a Tea Tray rear spoiler, integrated fog lights, headlamp washers, and an electric sunroof. It rides on 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels mounted with new Hankook Ventus RS4 tires. The gallery provides detailed images along with a CARFAX report showing moderate damage in July 2000.

Inside, the driver is greeted with Green/Grey (LB) leather upholstery. Equipment includes VDO instrumentation, an upgraded MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, a Blaupunkt Reno SQR 46 cassette radio, climate controls, power windows, and an alarm system. All gauges and electronics are confirmed to be in proper working order.

The air-cooled 3.3-liter turbocharged flat-six was rebuilt in 2007 and enlarged to 3.4 liters before receiving a top-end rebuild in 2018. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission, which was also refreshed in 2007, and a factory-optioned limited-slip differential. Modifications include a twin-plug ignition system, a K27 turbocharger, ARP 4206 head studs, Mahle pistons, a B&B Performance exhaust, and a larger intercooler. In January 2021, MCS shocks and adjustable suspension dampers were installed, the CIS fuel system was serviced, and compression and leak-down tests were performed. More recent service in July 2025 included an alternator replacement, brake fluid flush, oil change, and new battery. A collection of service records and documentation is provided in the gallery.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for viewing. We have extensive detailed paperwork on this example, as shown in the gallery.”

@westauto1467 Also, an answer of "we didn't trace it" is totally legitimate. I think everyone understands that you can't have an answer to every question.

@westauto1467 I'm not understanding the frustration. There is a single nonsense bid on this car which could potentially sell for $100k+ if it's determined to be in decent shape and questions are answered. Why is my question about leak down numbers signaling a non-legitimate buyer to you? 12% certainly isn't atrocious, but I feel like it's something to keep an eye on (especially when it's an outlier) and it would be fantastic to know the source. The test took place 4 years ago and potentially could signal something in process of failing during that time. Why would a legitimate buyer NOT want that information?

@tommeron hi tom . Is it tom meron or tom moron ? Should we in some way consider your comment serious ? Just fyi Tommoron your not a buyer . By Tom Moron

@westauto1467 Was there any indication as to the source of the 12% reading in cylinder 1? And was anything done to correct it? (If I missed this in the documentation, I apologize)

@westauto1467 Asking you if you are the same owner as the BAT listing is not a valid question? So asking the ownership history is not a valid question. Not looking to debate you, argue with you on ownership. Looking for clarity. Carfax you supplied says the car is owned and registered in Maryland. No one should be cajoled into a bid to get you to be transparent. That's cart before the horse. GLWTA. You'll need it.

@pdxjohn65 If you have a valid question im confident you would get an answer . At this point we are 100% sure your not a serious bidder . In fact id say your looking for a debate or argument . The car is for sale and inspections are welcome at our south jersey repair center . Thanks again

@westauto1467 You instill confidence in buyers when you answer a question with a question. My user name is same here and BAT. Do some homework and you decide if I'm a serious bidder.

    @pdxjohn65 are you a bidder ?

  • pdxjohn65 (registered bidder) 17 hours, 5 minutesago

@westauto1467 - Are you the same owner from the BAT listing in July?

@zollerm We have not had the car on a dyno but that engine build is easily good for 350/360hp . The build is very common and its super fast . I have another 85 930 with a k27 upgrade and Mcneil exhaust that wouldnt hold a candle to this 87 . Cheers

@sixgt3 Hard to tell in the video if the tach is pegged at 8k but ill check tomorrow . Tach is running off an electromotive ignition and sometimes stock tachs have issues with MSD or other performance ignitions and could require a tach adapter . Ill confirm at the shop prior to end of auction .

  • sixgt3 (registered bidder) 2 days, 9 hoursago

Your introduction states that all the gauges work but in the drive video it does not look like the tack was working it looked to be pegged at 8K from what i could see. Can you comment?

  • westauto1467 (seller) 2 days, 14 hoursago

Id like to highlight the mechanical a bit . The engine was first rebuilt and upgraded to 3.4 liters in 2007 with a trans rebuild as well which then costed $22k . Then in 2018 the top end was gone over again by Auto Edge in MN totaling $18k . These engines rebuilds today at respected shops can easily top $50k . This engine only has around 2k miles since last build and it runs excellent with almost perfect leak down numbers . Also to note the paint and bodywork was also done and well detailed in the RO from SDR Autobody in Cockeysville MD . Currently the car is stored at West Automotive in south NJ and inspections are welcomed . Please PM seller to arrange .
