Ordered through Porsche’s Exclusive program, this 1987 911 Turbo Coupe came factory fitted with the Slant Nose option (M505) as well as a specially crafted Linen leather interior including a unique center console, leather dash with storage trays, seats with deviated piping, and a rare 935-style boost gauge. It was originally sold to a prominent businessman in Utah before changing hands with a famous baseball pitcher in Nevada and eventually being acquired by the current owner in Florida. Previously listed on PCARMARKET, this numbers-matching 930 Slant Nose benefits from a major service totaling over $7k and is now being offered for auction out of Florida showing approximately 52k miles on the odometer.
This 911 Turbo is finished in Guards Red and features factory handcrafted steel fenders with pop-up headlights along with unique boxed rocker panels and rear fenders with slatted air intakes, all as part of the M505 Slant Nose option. The seller notes the car was completely refinished in its factory color to address fading of the original paint under the care of its second owner, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report. This Turbo rides on factory 16” Fuchs wheels with polished outer barrels and Fuzion ZRi tires.
The cabin is appointed with Linen leather including deviated piping as well as a special dashboard with leather-wrapped air vents and under-dash storage trays. The car was also factory-tailored with a unique leather-wrapped center console housing an analog clock, temperature dial, heater control, a stereo equalizer, and original Blaupunkt radio. Ahead of the Linen leather steering wheel sits a full suite of VDO instrumentation including a very rare and highly sought-after 935-style boost gauge. Other options listed on the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity include automatic heating control, an alarm system, left-seat lumbar support, an electric sliding sunroof, and premium velour carpeting in the luggage compartment.
This 930 is equipped with its original 3.3L turbocharged flat-six engine that generates up to 282 HP and 289 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a numbers-matching 4-speed manual transmission and a factory-optioned limited-slip differential. A major service was recently completed by the specialists at German Tech Inc. at a cost of over $7k including new valve cover gaskets, ignition components, sunroof seals, drive belts, valve adjustments, new filters, a new engine insulation pad, and an overhaul of the A/C system. A corresponding invoice is provided in the gallery along with images of the undercarriage, drivetrain stampings, and Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
This sale will include the original owner's manuals, a toolkit, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.

I am sure there are many viewers here that really know these cars, but shouldn't the 505 package be listed on the CoA? Sounds like with some additional documentation, it could clear up most questions.

@tampabaysportscars Great looking 505. About the interior......this very well good be a Porsche Exclusive optioned interior. "Special Wishes" ended in 1985 Model Year. From then on it became Exclusive and all Exclusive orders were not included in a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity since these Exclusive options were not part of the product catalog. Exclusive work orders based on VIN should requested through Porsche Classic.
The reason I think this may be an Exclusive interior is the Equalizer in the Center Console. This is the same equalizer that was used in the Sonderwunsch Interior option sheet. It's worth looking into.

@JMS935 that is correct, these are not sport seats. That was a typo from PCarMarket and we have asked them to remove that from the listing. Thank you for pointing out the lack of Special Wishes Options listed on COA's.
The lack of the special wishes options on the COA is par for the course for Porsche during this time period because they weren’t built into the VIN when ordering them.
On another note, these are not sport seats as stated in the listing.

While the center console and under dash compartment look like factory Porsche to me, the CoA does not specify that these were original to the car. Furthermore, this seems to be a Tourist Delivery vehicle with factory pickup which is not mentioned either. I suggest going back to Porsche and having them do their homework a little better with the certificate of authenticity.

Piston 1200
Unfortunately the baseball pitcher who decided to have the car repainted did not share the receipt with the current owner.
Paint meter pictures are available, I’ll have PCAR put them up
Can you please supply the invoice for the repaint of the car along with the paint meter readings referenced in the description? I could not find them in the gallery.

Love the M505’s, great interior….
I’ll be stalking….. GLWTS
@Balzan - thank you!
I am not positive that the clock is original, but I have no reason to believe its been replaced. As of today, it appears that clock is not functioning properly. Per the CarFax (a copy can be viewed in the photo section) this car both passed and failed emission testing in the state of Navada. We do not do emission testing in Florida
Hope this helps

Very nice car. Does the clock work and is it the original clock? Can it pass California smog?
