The 1987 model year saw an improved Porsche 911 Carrera featuring a more powerful engine and a new 5-speed G50 manual transaxle. This 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa is finished in Black over Pearl White leather and was originally designated for accession at the factory in Germany through Porsche’s Tourist Delivery Program. It was purchased by the current owner in 2014 and subsequently upgraded with Brembo brakes, Bilstein shocks, and a turbocharger kit featuring a large aluminum intercooler. The car also comes equipped with stainless-steel headers, a programmed ECU, a Proto Tech boost gauge, a three-spoke MOMO steering wheel, a Turbo-style rear spoiler, and Turbo tie rods. Driven approximately 3k miles by its owner of the last 10 years while kept in climate-controlled storage, this turbocharged 911 Targa is now being offered for auction out of New York with approximately 52k miles showing on the odometer.
This 911 is finished in Black (L700) with a matching removable roof panel and Targa bar. A Turbo-style “Tea Tray” rear spoiler was added under current ownership and the original decklid is included in the sale. Other equipment includes a front chin spoiler, integrated front fog lights, red Brembo brake calipers, tinted windows, a polished exhaust outlet, rear Turbo badging, and 16” Fuchs alloy wheels. The car rides on Bridgestone 205/55 S-04 Pole Position in front and 245/45 Potenza RE-11 tires in the rear, showing date codes from 2014 and 2017 respectively. The car’s exterior is described to be in excellent overall condition with only minor signs of road-going wear. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Pearl White leather upholstery with matching carpets and a black leather-wrapped MOMO Prototipo steering wheel. Accessories include power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, power windows, a central locking system, an Alpine CD stereo, aftermarket metal pedal covers, a white Hurst ball shifter knob, and black carpet floor mats with red Turbo logos. A Proto Tech boost gauge has been installed in place of the dashboard clock, and all gauges and accessories are said to be working properly. Some separation can be seen on the dashboard upholstery near the defroster vent.
The air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine was resealed and upgraded with a turbo kit in 2015 including a Master Power turbocharger, stainless-steel headers, a TiAL wastegate, a reprogrammed ECU, and a full-width aluminum intercooler. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed G50 manual transmission. An upgraded clutch was installed in 2015 along with Bilstein dampers, Turbo tie rods, and upgraded Brembo brake calipers with cross-drilled rotors and a Turbo master cylinder. The seller adds that the car has been professionally maintained and there are no outstanding service items at this time.
This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This car is a real blast to drive! If you want a car to take the top off and also go fast, this is the one!”

Can you post a cold start, driving video? thanks.
Curious about the pressure dial on the right hand side of the dashboard. Do you have the original clock that goes in that slot? And does the bar pressure dial show something different to the OEM “druck press” dial on the dial second from left?
@Sdickey I do not have a paint meter but the paint is all original with original stickers in truck and engine bay, etc.
@henridragon I do not have compression test results but I will upload some cold start and driving videos ASAP
@Sdickey The previous owner had installed a new hurst ship knob but I guess they didn't realize it was for a 4-speed car so I installed a factory 5-speed knob
Good looking car. Do you have a compression test on the car? Will you be uploading any cold start and driving videos?
Pic 42 has a white shifter knob and pic 57 has a black version? Which one is it or both? Can we see paint meter readings any insights to original paint or respraying?
@eggsandwich The work was done by Proto Tech in Oakland Park, FL
There has been regular oil changes since from a local shop in town but no major work has been done since 2015.
Extensive work done in 2015 - can you share who did that work?
Any other services since then?
@zollerm Approximately 550HP, the car wakes up around 4000RPM it's very impressive
Horsepower? Thanks.
