We are pleased to offer this rare 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo Slant Nose finished in Guards Red over a black interior with leather Sport Seats. Reported as one of only 144 1987 examples to have been equipped with the factory M505 “Slant Nose” option, this Turbo is sought after for its iconic boxed rockers, side intake gills, and flat aerodynamic nose. Additonally, this example has been modified with 18" TechArt wheels as well as an upgraded turbocharger, intercooler, exhaust, and intake. Having undergone a complete engine and transmission rebuild earlier in 2020, this 930 Slant Nose is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida with just over 50k miles showing on the odometer.
This Turbo is finished in the classic shade of Guards Red, and the front end is said to have been refinished some years ago under previous ownership for cosmetic purposes. The paint is said to be in very good condition throughout with only minor signs of road-going wear, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. The M505 Slant Nose is distinguished from the standard 930 by its extended boxed rocker panels, side air intakes, and flat front fenders with pop-up headlights. Other features include a front spoiler, integrated front fog lights, a Tea Tray rear decklid, and aftermarket multi-piece 18” TechArt wheels.
Inside, this Turbo showcases a well-maintained black interior with sought-after factory Sport Seats in leather. Other optional equipment from the factory includes electric seat adjustment and a steering wheel with a raised hub. An aftermarket radio has been installed along with upgraded speakers, and the seller reports all gauges and accessories to be working properly.
This 930 is said to retain its original air-cooled 3.3 L flat-six engine that generates 282 HP and 289 lb.-ft of torque in its stock configuration. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a numbers-matching 4-speed manual gearbox. The engine and transmission are said to have been completely rebuilt in 2020 at just over 50k miles along with the installation of a new clutch. Performance modifications include a Garrett 35 turbocharger, a Turbokraft intercooler, a TiAL wastegate, an upgraded intake, and a Fabspeed exhaust system. The original turbocharger, wastegate, intake, and intercooler will also accompany the sale. Images of the drivetrain stampings are provided in the photo gallery along with a copy of the Porsche COA, and this Turbo is said to run and drive beautifully.
This sale will include a key set, some original parts, a toolkit, spare tire, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title. This highly collectible and increasingly valuable factory M505 Slant Nose presents an incredible opportunity for any collector or enthusiast, do not miss out.
