We are pleased to offer this custom 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera widebody by RWB. Reported to have spent most of its life in Texas and California prior to its transformation, this 911 was eventually brought to RWB Los Angeles where company founder, Akira Nakai, performed a custom widebody RSR-style backdate. The car was refinished in Light Yellow, the interior was completely redone with yellow tartan upholstery, Moton adjustable coil overs were installed, and the factory 3.2 L flat-six engine was upgraded with individual throttle bodies and a standalone ECU. Retaining its desirable G50 manual transmission, this example was purchased by the current owner in 2017 and is now being offered by its seller in Vancouver, Canada.
Prior to its widebody transformation, this Carrera was completely refinished in Porsche Light Yellow. Upon arrival at RWB Los Angeles, Nakai-san hand-fitted a custom backdate RWB kit complete with extra-wide fenders, a long hood, and an RS-style ducktail rear decklid. Other modifications include a sunroof delete, H4 headlights, Euro-style taillights, pop-out rear quarter mirrors, RS-style Carrera graphics, drilled door handles, and chrome window trim. The fuel filler lid was also deleted, and the fuel filler was relocated within the trunk. This 911 rides on a set of Fikse 17” Fuchs-inspired wheels dressed Sumitomo HTR tires. Clear paint protection film has also been applied over the front end and rear fenders to preserve the finish. Images of the build process can be seen in the photo gallery.
The cabin has been completely redone with yellow tartan upholstery and black vinyl. Features include fixed bucket seats on Macht Schnell rails, a WEVO short shifter, a Porsche 917-style wooden shift knob, Rennline floorboards and pedals, RS-style door panels, and a rear seat delete with storage compartments. A metric odometer was reportedly installed during the current ownership and now reads approximately 7k kilometers (4,400 miles). The true mileage remains unknown, please refer to CARFAX in the photo gallery.
This Carrera is equipped with an air-cooled 3.2 L flat-six engine paired with a highly desirable G50 5-speed manual gearbox. Upgrades include a Link standalone ECU, a yellow painted cooling fan, a custom dual exhaust with Fabspeed cat-bypass, and Jenvey Dynamics individual throttle bodies which are said to have been installed during the current ownership. The suspension has also been overhauled with 3-way Moton adjustable coilovers with remote reservoirs, a bump-steer kit, and Turbo tie rods. All new brake calipers, pads, rotors, and lines are said to have been installed in 2018.
This sale will include a clean title. Do not miss out on this incredibly unique RSR-style RWB creation.

To the many potential buyers that have already reached out to me, I am so happy you are all so interested in bidding for the car. I hope the new owner will love and enjoy the car as much as I did during my ownership!
Bid in the amount of $105,000
WARNING: Do not sell this car (LOL)! Wow....I stopped at the engine photo. GLWS
@burnrubr Thanks for your interest. The car wet weight is around 2690lb with full tank of gas. I'd say with the Jenvey ITBs, upgraded EFI Conversion and standalone ECU it's approximately (crank 240hp). Has the car tuned on the streets instead of dyno, I find tuning ITBs that's the most driveable. all in all it is more than enough for me but if the new potential buyer wants more, kudos!
Have any infos on current wet weight and crank HP? if not, ballpark is cool, thanks
Stunning
What a build. Stunning...just stunning.

@Qster_c sorry I wasn’t clear on my EFI question. Do you still have the factory EFI as spare?
@Cward2 All four brake calipers and rotors were replaced in 2018 (Carrera Brakes)along with the brake pads, lines, and mounting hardware. Three-way adjustable Moton coilovers have been added all around and feature remote reservoirs. Turbo tie rod ends have also been installed along with a bumper steer spacer kit for the steering rack.
EFI Conversion.
Hope that answers your questions!
Cheers!
Regular 87 Carrera Calipers?
Still have the factory fuel injection?
Thanks
@narkotic Great memory! It was in Anaheim @ RWB Los Angeles HQ.
Was this car ever at EAS in Anaheim? I was there once test driving another RWB car and I remember seeing a car just like this in their warehouse. This was a few years ago.
