The 1987 model year saw important changes for the Carrera model, most notably the introduction of the 5-speed G50 manual gearbox. This 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe comes finished in Guards Red over a black leather interior and features optional Sport Seats as well as an electric sunroof. Recently imported to the U.S. after spending much of its life in Canada, this 1987 example is now being offered for auction showing approximately 95k kilometers (59k miles) on the odometer.
This 911 comes finished in the traditional shade of Guards Red. Factory equipment includes a front valence with integrated fog lights, an electric sliding sunroof, and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels. The seller notes the hood was refinished by an authorized Porsche dealer due to a scratch. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is presented with black leather upholstery featuring optional Sport Seats. Standard equipment includes heated and electrically adjustable outside mirrors, integrated front fog lights, power windows, and a driver seat with electric height adjustment. The seller reports all gauges and accessories remain fully functional.
The air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine produces up to 217 HP and drives the rear wheels through a 5-speed G50 manual transmission. The seller indicates a well-documented service history including head studs replaced in 2015 and a recent engine-out service with a valve adjustment as well as replacements of the clutch release bearing, pilot bearing, clutch slave cylinder, valve cover gaskets engine insulation, fuel filter, oil filter, distributor cap and rotor, sparkplugs, and air filter.
This sale will include a clean title. The CARFAX report indicates the vehicle was recovered after theft in 1991, followed by a total loss declaration in 1992.
The seller would like you to know: "Miami Garage Classics is proud to offer this extremely clean example of a numbers-matching 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe in its astonishing combination of Guards Red with a black interior. Driving through gears is a pleasure with its factory original G50 transmission, while the comfort of the factory-optioned Sports seats is superb."

@JB630 Sure! We work with out-of-state buyers all the time, we help with all the logistics and we can provide quotes for transport options for the buyer to choose. Just let us know what you need and we'll gladly help.
@MiamiGarageClassics Are you able to assist with logistics for an out of state buyer?
@JB630 Of course, just uploaded

@MiamiGarageClassics Can you post a photo of the back of the title as well?
@MiamiGarageClassics excellent advice, could be my carrier ask the question and others do not. Wonderful car, looking forward to watching where it ends this week
@Abuong01 Good morning and thank you for your comment, in our experience that was never the case but I believe this is easy to clarify if any interested party just contacts his/her insurance company of choice and asks about this specifically.
@MiamiGarageClassics Classic Car insurers do not normally insure (guaranteed value) checkered titles even if the current reads clean. I believe that is what @PM2207 is referring to with registering and insuring comment.

@pm2207 Hello, no, it's not like that in Florida, all the titles look the same but they clearly state if the car is Salvage or Rebuild.
Bid in the amount of $35,000
@MiamiGarageClassics Thanks for showing the title.
It looks like a blue title.
In my state:
green title = clean
blue title = salvage
orange title = rebuilt salvage.
Is it the same in FL?

@JB630 Maybe doing a refresh of the page? I can see the videos and the records with no problem
@pm2207 A picture of the title was just added. The registration of the car was a straightforward and simple process, and the record on the Carfax shouldn't have any relation to that, or to the insurance in that case. IMHO
@MiamiGarageClassics I am able to see the carfax screenshots but I did not see any actual documents. Also apologies, but I am unable to see any videos in the listing. Perhaps I am doing something wrong or they did not load.

@JB630 Please note the pictures of the records and videos are already added to the auction.

@MiamiGarageClassics Thanks. You can block out name/address.
With the theft recovery and total loss I need to see what I’m working with. It doesn’t sound like it will be an easy breeze time attempting to register and get insurance.
@MiamiGarageClassics Are you able to post photos of the maintenance records here? Additionally will you be posting cold start, walkaround, and driving videos?
@JB630 Thank you for the compliment! Yes, there is a folder of records with the car that goes back to 2014.
Worth mentioning are the head studs replaced in 2015 and a recent engine-out service with a valve adjustment as well as replacements of the clutch release bearing, pilot bearing, clutch slave cylinder, valve cover gaskets engine insulation, fuel filter, oil filter, distributor cap and rotor, sparkplugs, and air filter.
@MiamiGarageClassics I appreciate the follow up. Car shows great in the photos. Do you have any maintenance records?
@JB630 Effectively, the odometer is in Kilometers and it wasn't adjusted or in any way modified for import.
The odometer will not be swapped before sale.
The AC seems to be original, blows cold, and works properly.
@JB630 Hello, according to the previous owner the total loss was related to the theft of the car. and it was later recovered. That's all the information we have about that, unfortunately.
There are no signs or indications of damage anywhere around the car and presents itself almost flawlessly.
@pm2207 Hello, I'm not sure if we are allowed to publish a picture of the title but I'm going to ask about this to the Pcarmarket
@area901 Hello, there is an error on the description and I just requested the Pcarmarket team to fix it. The car has 95200 Kilometers (NOT miles).
Bid in the amount of $911
Are you able to provide more detail on the total loss declaration? ODO/Speedo still appears to be KM, were the numbers adjusted to miles when imported and will this be swapped out for a MPH speedo before the sale? Additionally, has the AC been upgraded and does it blow cold?
Can you upload a photo of the FL title?
Kilometers or miles?
